AES Sigma Spotlight:
Meet Brother Evan Rock, Financial Services Representative and AES Secretary. Bro. Rock graduated from Arizona State University with a degree in Political Science and has worked in the financial services industry for many years in different compacities. Although, he was born and raised in the United States, his family’s heritage comes from the island of Barbados. Bro. Rock’s interests outside of his work include aviation as well as speaking heavily regarding politics. During his free time he makes sure he embraces Sigma Wellness and goes to the gym to exercise. Bro. Rock became a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., in Spring 2015. He joined Sigma because he wanted to experience the brotherhood as well as use his political knowledge to inform the community to get involved in the political process and vote. His favorite Sigma moments are meeting NASA Astronaut, Bro. Victor Glover and his brothers being there for him in the hardest period of his life. 🤘🏾

August is Black Business Month, Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., Alpha Epsilon Sigma Alumni Chapter is engaging with Black businesses and encouraging Black business spending. Our goal is to be a change agent for Black-owned businesses helping to increase the circulation of the Black dollar and awareness of Black-owned businesses in our communities.🤘🏾

Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., Alpha Epsilon Sigma Chapter Brother, State Director Kijan Edwards had a great time doing volunteer work at Rising Star Baptist Church in Tucson, AZ. Brothers and Sorors served as greeters and provided a unified presence for the voting facility.

Meet Brother Keishourd Miller, a Claims Compliance Auditor as well as AES Director of Sigma Beta Club. Bro. Miller has been a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., since March 2002. He has a passion for mentoring and development. Bro. Miller joined Phi Beta Sigma to make a difference in the community and be a positive example. He also joined Sigma for the camaraderie amongst the brothers. He has always felt welcomed and accepted. The foundation of “Culture For Service and Service For Humanity” aligned with his personal goals. His favorite Sigma moment is going to the Western Regional Conference in Las Vegas in 2002. 🤘🏾

Bro. David McClendon is an IT Engineer and honorably discharged veteran. Bro. McClendon has been married to his wife, a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc for 40 years in December. He became a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., in Spring 2024. His entire life has been devoted to serving the community which is a principle of the organization. His favorite Sigma moment is when he realized that he would be an official member after his induction ceremony on June 15, 2024. 🤘🏾

Staci Scott supported the West Valley NAACP youth civic engagement summer initiative. Bro Miller and Soror Scott presented an overview of Sigma and Zeta, and spoke about Sigma Beta Club, Amicettes and Archonettes Youth Auxiliary groups as well as programming. They had a great time hanging out and sharing information with the youth!
