To reach the un-churched with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, that will enable us to make future disciples.
Mission Statement
The primary goal of the RWC Softball is to provide recreation and fellowship that will result in a brotherly bond, a sense of community, and evangelism. Each game is an opportunity to demonstrate the character of Christ, not just with teammates and opponents but with families and visitors. We strive to amplify Christ in a community that hasn’t truly had the opportunity experience
Him. Additional goals;
• To demonstrate Godliness to the community in a fun filled, friendly, and family oriented atmosphere
• To encourage ‘fun ball’ play and enjoyment of the game of softball as well as to promote healthy and constructive competition.
• To challenge all players and coaches to conduct themselves in such a way as to be pleasing to God.
• To challenge all spectators to conduct themselves in such a way that brings honor to God in their viewing, cheering and complimenting of not only their own teams players, but also notable good plays, good hits and good conduct on the part of the opposing teams players.
• To provide an opportunity for non-Christian players and spectators to witness and feel the distinction in playing with a Christian Rooted team. A key display of this difference has been and will continue to be, the “Home Plate Prayer” conducted immediately before the start of every game and a closing prayer at the mound after the game.
• To provide an opportunity for non-Christian players and spectators to make new friends who are unashamedly Christian. New friendships may provide a role whereby a non-Christian may come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior. Remembering the Kingdom of God is based on relationships.
