10th Chance is a cat rescue devoted to rescuing and vetting homeless cats and kittens, almost exclusively from the street. Meet Tyson, a sweet boy who has spent 128 days in the shelter. His spirit is broken, and he has lost hope of ever finding a family. The shelter staff describes him as scared, anxious, and confused. Tyson exhibits heartbreaking signs of kennel stress, pacing in circles and avoiding leaving his cage. Shelter life is taking a toll on his desire for companionship, and it's equally heartbreaking for the staff who watch him. Let's spread awareness about Tyson and help him find a loving home!

HELP:
My name is Toby and I have been stolen. I am in the hands of a troubled individual and not getting my proper medications. But it gets worse. Way worse. My Daddy, Leroy Jenkins, has owned me for 11 years. He adopted me from the ECSPCA when I was tied to a pole at the Broadway Market. For 11 years, I was his pride and joy. I never missed a vet appointment. I went on walks allllll the time and went everywhere with my Dad. My Dad is a simple man and beloved member of the community. I am his world and he is mine.

My Dad let me begin spending time with his daughter, Nikia Jenkins, when he was at work so that I always had company. For a while, it was good. She has mental health issues, but I helped her. One day, about two and a half months ago, she changed. She stole me. It's not my Dad's fault... maybe she stopped taking her meds. But now I am not getting mine. I have skin allergies and and am not getting my Apoquil. I am suffering. And most of all, I miss my Dad. But it gets worse. Way worse.

My Dad tried everything to get me back. He waits outside my house. He has called the police and made reports. They know where I am and that I am stolen and suffering... they don't care. The ECSPCA where I was adopted from... they know that I am stolen and suffering... they don't care. I have been licensed to my Dad for 11 years. He has 100 + pages of vet records for me. If I was a car, Buffalo Police would make an arrest if they knew who stole me, so why won't they do that when I am a dog in danger? Someone once told me that the only thing the system cares about less than terrier type dogs are the black men that own them. But anyway. It gets worse. Way worse.

My Dad hired a lawyer who did everything right. He actually works with you guys and always fights for the animals. On Thursday, he got a Court Order from an Erie County Supreme Court Judge directing me to be returned immediately to my Dad AND for the Buffalo Police Department to assist and ensure that I am returned.

Finally, this nightmare is over, right?? NO!!! The Buffalo Police Department said they were NOT going to follow the Court Order. How can they do this? If you break a Court Order, you go to jail... why are they above the law?? Why wouldn't they want to save me? I don't know, but my lawyer says he will continue to fight. Please help us. PLEASE SHARE and call the Buffalo Police Department, B District at 716-851-4403 and ask them to save me. My life and my Dad's heart depends on it.

While summer hasn't officially started on the calendar, all of us here at Against All Oddz certainly think it has begun with the weather this week has brought! Despite that, our little campers, like Sweetheart Aristotle pictured here, are excited to get this season rocking and have their funnest summer yet! We have compiled an Amazon Wish-list (linked below) of a variety of items that could really help further enrich their day-to-day lives while beating the heat, such as doggy-sunscreen, camp-themed toys and snacks, and even an agility course to get our smartest cookie, Mica, the mental stimulation he needs! We're actually running low on treats because of his insatiable desire to show off how big his brain is with the many, many tricks he knows!

Since summers are only going to get warmer and warmer, our biggest priority with this list is anything that provides safety from the sun for our kiddos. Our 47-acre property was once a grazing pasture so unfortunately shady spots are hard to come by unless we're travelling deep into the woods near the back, so we would really appreciate a few items that ensure they can be walked outside safely with spots to rest or to romp through some water to cool off. In time, we will be planting trees and shrubbery around the property to remedy this problem in the long-term (because without trees, winters can also be brutal here from the endless snowdrifts Lake Erie so graciously gifts us all with). By planting flora, we will also be helping out our wildlife friends here find more cozy nooks to call home with all the food their little tums can handle, because all life is sacred here regardless of how domesticated they are!

If wishlists aren't your thing, but still wish to give some support to AAO, we are still looking for donations to help expand four of our campers' runs this summer: Bruce Wayne, both Bandit the Pitbull and Bandit the Malamute, and our darling Fred. Currently they are at 200sq.ft. but will be expanded to 400sq.ft. so they can run about and sunbathe to their heart's content. Bandit the Malamute will be receiving top-tier fencing that will keep his big energy protected for many years to come, but costs more to install.

Lastly, our team is small so if you would like to join our ranks of doggy-counselors here, there will always be room for more members in our pack! We love having so many handlers here to bolster our campers' sociability and adaptability, but we also are always on the lookout for folks who enjoy cleaning, have an itch to build, a passion for land management care, or most importantly have a talent for writing to help us with grant funding so we may expand our capabilities as an organization! Help us connect with them by sharing or commenting below!

(Aristotle visited a few of our counselors at a tabling event this past weekend in Gainesville and was AMAZING!!!! Truly a pleasure to work with and be around. He was so happy to make so many new friends, and enjoy some scrumptious BBQ grub! Ari is a special guy and so well-mannered, we hope this summer he receives his greatest wish: a loving home to call his own!)

Thank you kindly, all, for your support and generosity. With your help, we can keep on making these campers happy day after day, and help other furry friends out there in need of justice and the TLC they deserve! Please stay safe out there this week! Drink plenty of water, rest when you can, and take your pup out for ice cream! You both deserve some!

I refrain from taking him to the beach for a walk because it disrupts your vacation; you prohibit me from renting a house if I have a dog, and he's not allowed on urban public transport. Nevertheless, I can bring him to sift through rubble after an earthquake, search for you in the forest when you're lost in the mountains without a map or GPS, join you under the snow for forbidden off-piste adventures, and even accompany you in the water despite the red flag when posted signs advise against swimming. You gladly welcome him when you need his support, but not when it's inconvenient for you. After all….” it is just a dog”….

Think again, people. Dogs are better than most humans, they’re kinder, more loyal, love unconditionally and appreciate you no matter whether you deserve it or not. ❤️

NEW DOG... WHO DIS??
Hey all... , I am HERE! With these guys, AAO!!! With the best board and trainer ever. -9. By way of background, a few weeks ago, I, Yogi, was a one-year-old hearing and visually impaired white pitty picked up by Town of Bath Animal Control Officer Carl Tuttle.

He told a local rescue that he would help me but instead took me to a vet's office to be killed. Plot twist... they wouldn't do it! Instead, I was in short term foster until a spot opened up with AAO's board and trainer, -9, and I am now learning so much and getting so much confidence. Not being able to see or hear well can make life difficult, but things are getting so much easier!

So I am still hoping for help to make my death to decadence journey complete. Some ways you can help me do so are:
1. Donate to AAO. I do have some expensive medical and training needs... but AAO says I am priceless and so worth it!!!
2. FOSTER ME!!! I am loving and playful... I get along well with other dogs and I am one of a kind.
3. ADOPT ME!!!! See #2 for why.
4. Call the Town of Bath Supervisor and ask them to replace Carl Tuttle. Aside from almost killing me, I have heard he is unkind to all the dogs in his care and when they come out of his animal control facility, dogs are always scared. My AAO Dad, who I haven't met but who I've heard is incredibly good looking and highly intelligent, says he will be writing a letter to the Town supervisor about how Carl almost killed me.

When the Titanic sank, it carried millionaire John Jacob Astor IV. The money in his bank account was enough to build 30 Titanics. However, faced with mortal danger, he chose what he deemed morally right and gave up his spot in a lifeboat to save two frightened children.
Millionaire Isidor Straus, co-owner of the largest American chain of department stores, "Macy's," who was also on the Titanic, said:
"I will never enter a lifeboat before other men."
His wife, Ida Straus, also refused to board the lifeboat, giving her spot to her newly appointed maid, Ellen Bird. She decided to spend her last moments of life with her husband.
These wealthy individuals preferred to part with their wealth, and even their lives, rather than compromise their moral principles. Their choice in favor of moral values highlighted the brilliance of human civilization and human nature.

Buster is wondering why our basket raffle is doing so poorly?? There are only 4 days left and we haven't sold very many tickets. 🫤 The basket contains a $50 Pet Supplies Plus gift card, and various dog toys and supplies (valued over $150).

Tickets are $5 for 10 chances to win. Raffle ends on Friday. Winner will be selected Saturday.
Buy tickets here - https://go.rallyup.com/dogloversbasket

If we don't sell many more tickets,
👍The good news is..
your chances of winning are high.

👎The bad news is...
we will struggle to pay for our ever growing expenses.

Our sanctuary relies heavily on money raised from fundraisers like these. We do not have corporate sponsorships and we are 100% funded by private donations. Please help us by supporting or sharing!

Thank you 🙏🐾❤️

This is River. Even though she was too small for spay yesterday she still went to be examined because during my own examination of her, her ribcage did not feel normal. After an examination and some radiographs it's been determined she has a congenital defect called pectus excavatum.

"This congenital (present from birth) defect occurs during fetal development and results in the ribs and sternum not forming properly. The result is a concave or sunken chest wall, starting at approximately the third to fifth rib and extending to the tip of the sternum. The abnormally shaped chest space causes the heart to be moved to the left side of the chest cavity, causing squeezing of the right side of the heart. Parts of the lungs are also squeezed, resulting in decreased lung function."

River will likely need surgery in order to correct this. We are contacting several vets to try and make a plan for her. Please consider a donation towards her care!
We still have our 50/50 raffle going until June 22 so if you would like to have your donation put towards that make sure you state "50/50 tickets" on your payment.

Its cold. Are you coming back?

Remember me? You couldn't wait to have me. I was so small and cute and I was FREE. You thought about getting me fixed,
but I was a baby and that was a long way off. We were best friends. Then you started packing, and I was excited, we were
going to go on an adventure. And then you were gone, and lam still here. It's cold. Are you coming back?

When you take on a pet, you are taking
on a life and a moral and legal
responsibility to take care of that life.
Please don't abandon pets.

🆘️‼️Foster needed - 3 more days‼️🆘️
Miss Wiggles had her posts shared over 400 times and got close to 500 likes, but still NO ONE has stepped up to foster. 😥💔 She will be done with her board and train program on Tuesday and she needs somewhere to go. 🙏🐾 We don't have any room here at the sanctuary, so we are really hoping an angel will come and help us. We don't know what we are going to do if we don't find anyone. Even if you can only foster for a couple of weeks, that will really help us (and Miss Wiggles) immensely.

Please share, pray, send good vibes, do whatever you can to help us find a home for Miss Wiggles in time.

For more info on Miss Wiggles, please read about her on Petfinder or DM us.
