I recently just went to Ghana for a study abroad trip & it was AMAZING! One of my favorite spots was the bead market. It was a wonderful experience to have everyone connect through a piece of jewelry. The market queen showed us her work & was able to share her story. It served a great reminder that one little piece of jewelry can help support a family, make a dream come true or allow others to connect regardless of their language or background.
It was a huge motivator for Camspire & how I started with sharing stories through bracelets. It was a gift to support local entrepreneurs, hear their stories & purchase from their shops with a quick trip across the pond🤍✈️

what are your favorite ways to spoil yourself?

this month is a very special month, raising awareness for men’s mental health. although people are talking more about it, there is still a huge stigma around it. there is never a need to “brush it off” , “be a man about it” , or “to not show your feelings” regardless of your gender or your identity, your emotions are valid and heard.

as I was drawing this i felt a connection to the confusion of the heart and mind. whatever you may feel, you may not be able to figure out what’s going on. it feels overwhelming, uncontrollable or unexplainable. someone may never know what you are going through, but there are people who will listen and root for you. camspire will always listen, there are resources that will listen & someone that can empathize and make you feel heard.

my heart goes to you if you are struggling or know someone who is. please don’t be afraid to reach out if you need help, someone is there for you and you should never feel ashamed for how you feel. my heart goes to the men that feel as though you cannot share how you feel or judged if you do. i promise your voice is worth it and your feelings are important.

Camspire started in 2017. I grew a passion to raise awareness for su***de & mental health. It was something that began to change my life.
This photo was the first “Camspire Moment”. I was counting beads, making bracelets reminding myself of everyone that was there for me or things about me I loved. This exact moment was when I knew my passion was to speak up. This moment is why Camspire is here today.
To this day, I continue to speak up, to support others, to show up to work making sure others know that they matter, that YOU matter.

SOO excited to be starting my 8th semester with in their program. It’s an honor to be surrounded with likeminded & kickass peers. It has been humbling & exciting watching Camspire grow over the years.
As Camspire has grown, so have I & I have loved every step of the way. From getting accepted into the , launching products & now working for the in their psychiatric department, we have come full circle!!
I cant wait to share different resources, coping skills, & education that I have learned.
