*A Heartfelt Update*

We hope this message finds you well as we embark on the new year, filled with fresh opportunities and renewed energy. As we step into this exciting chapter, we wanted to share some meaningful updates about the direction our business is taking.

As many of you know, we have been a dynamic duo, with Doug crafting his unique and whimsical birdhouses and myself upcycling burlap coffee bags into totes that find their way into your homes and hearts. Over time, we've realized the need to fine-tune our roles to ensure the smooth functioning of our beloved business.

I have taken on the responsibilities of handling the administrative side of things – from packing and shipping your cherished purchases to keeping our online presence updated on the website and Etsy shop. I've also assumed the task of researching, applying for, and coordinating our participation in various markets and festivals. This involves not only the creative side of crafting but also the logistical details that go into showcasing our work at these events. From writing and submitting applications and documents to handling payments, these steps ensure a smooth and successful presence at each market or festival we attend. Additionally, managing the finances and navigating federal and city taxes have become significant parts of my daily routine.

With these new responsibilities, I find myself dedicating more time to the business's operational aspects, which unfortunately means I haven't been able to devote as much time to crafting my upcycled totes. This shift has led to a temporary reduction in the frequency of new bag releases.

However, please know that this is not a farewell to the totes that I hold close to my heart. They're still very much a part of my journey, and I am still committed to creating these unique, eco-friendly pieces of art, albeit on a slightly less frequent basis.
I believe in quality over quantity, and I want each bag that finds its way to you to be a true representation of the craftsmanship and love that goes into every stitch.

So, here's my invitation to you:
Whenever you see a new batch of totes available, seize the opportunity to make one yours.
They may be less frequent, but each bag is a labor of love, and I want you to have the chance to own these special creations.

Lastly, I want to express my deepest gratitude to each and every one of you. Your support has been the heartbeat of our business. Whether you've been with us from the beginning or joined the journey along the way, your encouragement, feedback, and enthusiasm have been the driving force behind our creative endeavors. When I first saw him I knew it would take the right person to love and to take him home.
Well, my Bowie Cat was finally adopted and he now lives a happy life in Toronto, CA. :)
What a happy end!

Just finished this custom crossbody.
It was my first work using the industrial sewing machine and I have to say I totally underestimated the learning curve.
It took me way longer than usual and I had to redo the handle but I was able to finish it. 😅🙏

We will be at the Seattle Convention Center all the way through Sunday.
