Hello everyone! spring is upon us and I am currently reformatting how I will be hosting the Tournaments and events. we will no longer be using the Short Blade Symposium as a Tournament name and we will be rebranding our entire approach to this wonderful event.

One of the reasons is I now Host this event on my Own in conjunction with Belton Lubas. our Judges Cadre continues to support the event and is still comprised of the team of community leaders and school owners. FMA and HEMA are well represented in this cadre of judges and Directors. our integrity to a blade rules system is and remains intact.

I thank all my fighters for their continued support. My ring is and always will be a CO-ED. , mixed Gender fighting. there are no Gender Divisions. this will be a welcoming fighting arena for all cultures and creeds that value and engage in Blade Culture. if you have felt that in the past you were not included, please give your reservations a back seat and come visit the reformatting of this culture bridging event that shares a love of fighting with swords.

the event will now focus on Messer/bolo fighting. we will no longer be engaging in the fantasy of "Knife Dueling" this event will no longer be a part of anything I host. the main reason is I do not want to be involved in the reinforcement of people's fantasies that they are "Knife fighters". that event is Done and serves no purpose in my future events and tournaments. thank you to all those who supported and fought in the Knife fighting events of the past. I hope that you enjoyed the format and will find other events that focus upon that aspect of your Martial Sports Journey.

Lastly, we will be getting on with Steel bladed fights for return and invites only this year.

we are so looking forward to getting back into our normal schedule this year and will be making open registration for the new event by the end of April.
