Photography, Graphic Design, Irish Humor and Unconventional Wisdom
At the essence, what I am trying to do with photography is to capture images that elicit an impression. That impression can be driven by an image of the exotic or unusual, the familiar but from a unique perspective, nature at itβs best, complexity, simplicity, people going about their daily lives, or if you are really lucky, something humorous.

The Skerries, Northern Ireland β A few years ago, I chartered a fishing boat in Portrush to photograph Dunluce Castle from the sea. On the ride back to Portrush Harbour, we passed this series of rocky islands. The Skerries have been designated as an Area of Special Scientific Interest for its unique flora and fauna. In addition to being a breeding habitat for seabirds, there is plant life unique to Northern Ireland. My Nikon found the islands an area of special interest for the primal beauty!

Another Philadelphia image uncovered during my photo project. If there ever was an image that could benefit from bracketed shooting, this is it! The light value between the dark alcove and the bright Broad Street scene was extreme. Though I captured this Union League image several years ago, it was never processed/posted. Don't ask me why...
Boathouse Row π£ββοΈ Philadelphia πΈ Came across this image in my photo portfolio project and had to try my hand at it. Though I shot this in 5 bracketed shots, I used a single, 2.5 second exposure, shot for a fresh edit. Used new software & processing techniques on this old fav. Not sure that I improved on my previous attempts, but I sure had fun!

Desert Dawn π΅ Uncovered this file in my house cleaning project. Shot back in the springtime, 2016, hence the creosote in bloom. I had over processed the image (deleted that one, of course) & did a fresh edit with a view to replicating what my eye saw that morning. For my fellow fotogs, I used Luminosity Masking to uncover the details in the foreground.
