We will belatedly (by a day) celebrate Mike Marshall's birthday, Bruce Molsky's (today), as well as share a few tracks from the new Brittany Haas & Lena Jonsson album ahead of a track by track with them next week.

Lonesome George is hosting his final edition of the Cosmic American Jamboree. Besides having hosted CAJ for the last 22 years, he has also been the WTJU Folk librarian all those years.

While we will certainly miss him, the good news is he will return in August as one of the hosts of Atlantic Weekly Part 1 with music from this side of the Atlantic. He will also pop up every now and again on Folk & Beyond and Sunset Road. But we will certainly miss his weekly presence each Thursday afternoon. Thanks Lonesome George!

Atlantic Weekly will be back down at Charlottesville City Market this Saturday from 8am-noon, and we typically have acoustic acts comfortable playing around condenser mics stop by to play (to promote their upcoming gigs and/or busk a bit with so many people walking by). We will also pay tribute to Chris Stafford (Feufollet and so many other acts), the young Louisiana musician who sadly died a few days back in a car accident.
