Open Door Ministries is a Holy Spirit-filled multicultural and multi- generational church. This is a
God has called us to be a spiritual oasis to our community and abroad as we teach people about having a relationship with Jesus. OUR VISION
To SEE souls saved for the kingdom of God by imparting the Word of God to restore, empower, impact, and birth. To ESTABLISH an accredited Bible Institute, Food and Clothing Distribution Center, and Literacy Program. To REACH the lost through radio, television,
and media ministries. OUR MISSION
Restore: This is a place where the weary and wandering can come be refreshed and restored through the saving knowledge and love of Jesus Christ. Empower: We are mandated to nourish and strengthen those who God has placed in our hands through fellowship, worship, and the systematic teaching of the Word of God to empower them to achieve their destiny in Christ. Impact: We are assigned to build a body of believers who will compel others to come to Christ impacting their families, communities, and the world. Birth: We are anointed by God and through the grace of the Holy Spirit to assist the chosen in the Kingdom to give birth to their purposes, destinies, and gifting in/for God. WHAT WE BELIEVE
We believe in the plenary-verbal inspiration of accepted cannon of Scripture as originally given. The Scriptures are infallible, inerrant, and the sole and final authority for all matters of faith in conduct (II Timothy 3:16; I Corinthians 2:13). We believe in the Eternal Godhead who has revealed Himself as One God existing in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, Distinguishable but indivisible (Matthew 28:19: II Corinthians 13:14). We believe in the creation, test and fall of man as recorded in Genesis: his total spiritual depravity and inability to attain to Divine righteousness (Romans 5: 12, 18). We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, the Saviour of man, conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, very God very Man (Luke 1:26-35; John 1:14-18, Isaiah 7:14, 9:6). We believe Christ gave His life for us, died for our sins, was buried and rose again the third day, and personally appeared unto His disciples (I Corinthians 15:1-4; Romans 4:25). We believe in the bodily ascension of Jesus to Heaven, His exaltation, and personal, literal and bodily, will be returning a second time for His Church (John 14:2-3: I Thessalonians 4: 13-18). We believe in the salvation of the sinner by grace, through the work of repentance and faith in the perfect and sufficient work of the cross on Calvary by which we obtain remission of sins and right standing with God because belief in Jesus is the only way to God (Ephesians 2:8-9, Hebrews 9:12, 22; Romans 5:11, John 14:6). We believe in the necessity of water baptism by immersion in the Name of the Eternal Godhead in order to fulfill the command of the Lord Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:34-36, 19:1-6). We believe in the baptism of Holy Spirit as a real experience at or subsequent to salvation with Scripture evidence, namely speaking in the other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance (Acts 2:1-4, 8:14-17, 10:44-46; Galatians 3:14-15). We believe in the sanctity of marriage as instituted in Scripture as an institution of God, as a union of male and female in holy matrimony (Genesis 2:22-24, Matthew 19:4-6), not as male and male nor female and female for the Scriptures declares this is not pleasing to God (Leviticus 18:22, 20:13, Romans 1:21-32). Therefore, a male and female union is the only union this church will marry. We believe in the operation of the Gifts of the Spirit as enumerated in I Corinthians 12-14, as manifested in the Early Church. We believe in the Spirit-filled holy life, a life of separation from the world and perfecting of holiness in the fear of God as expressing the true Christian faith ( Ephesians 5:18, II Corinthians 6:14, 7:1, I Peter 1:15-16, Romans 12: 1-2). We believe in the healing of the body by Divine power, or Divine healing in its varied aspects as practiced in the Early Church (Acts 4:30, Romans 8:11, I Corinthians 12:9, James 5:14). We believe in the Table of the Lord, commonly called the Communion or the Lord's Supper, for believers (Matthew 26:26-28, I Corinthians 11:28-32). We believe in the reality and personality of the Devil and eternal judgment in the Lake of Fire for the Devil and his angels (Matthew 25:41, Revelations 20:14-15). We believe in the eternal life for believers (John 5:24, 3:16), and the eternal punishment for the unbelievers (Mark 9:43-48, II Thessalonians 1:19, Revelations 20:10-15). We believe that there is one true universal Church made up of genuine believers part of the kingdom of God. As the church and body of Christ we gather to fellowship in physical localities. These churches are under the sovereign Headship of the Lord Jesus Christ, exercising autonomous government under Him, administering all its local affairs and ministry, as well as the propagation of the Gospel (Acts 15:22, Matthew 16:18, 18:15-20). We believe in giving God the glory and praise exalting the name of Jesus in worship, song, dance, instruments, and music (2 Chronicles 20:19, Psalms 134:2, 149:3, 150, 2 Samuel 6:14-15, Ephesians 5:19, Hebrews 13:15)
