B.Krafty by Becky Knips
Welcome to my crafting page! My name is Becky Knips (kuh-nips)
Welcome to the craftermath.... about 175 pairs of earrings to sand, lacquer, and assemble!
Thanks for letting me stop by today Poudre High School! If you want to have your very own pop up earring sale in Northern Colorado, send me a message!
Snakeskin earrings.... yay or nay?
New designs with leather, wood and acrylic!
New fall fave! Love this new printed acrylic paired with maple!
Craft time with Auntie Becky! My nephew is obsessed with Pokemon. He drew his 4 favorite ones, I took a picture of them with my phone, printed them with a sublimation printer on special paper, and heat pressed them for 60 seconds at 365 degrees onto a polyester blanket. Bennett now has homework to draw more Pokémon and some pokeballs to fill the rest of the blanket!
Check out those earrings ;) Excited to see you at the helm Carey!
Longtime Poudre High School staff member hired as school's new principal Carey Christensen, who began working at Poudre High School 25 years ago, is the new principal of a school that has had just five others in 60 years.
Here's a spin on the traditional "cousin crew" shirt! This one has the topo map of our family cabin in the Rocky Mountains. The star is where the cabin is located :)
Today's project... learning how to sublimate on acrylic. I took a class on sublimation at last year's Pinterest Conference and loved it. What is sublimation? It's a special type of ink that can bond to another material with heat.
Now that it's summer break, I have time to experiment! My first attempt is to print a design on acrylic that I will eventually use a laser cutter to make earrings out of. However, I learned that I have to be careful as the temp of my heat press will accidentally transfer on my ironing board. Whoops!
The third image is not mine, but ideally what I'd like to eventually make for some sort of Christmas ornament. Imagine a transparent picture (that could be of your family, a pet, etc) that will let Christmas lights shine through on the tree! So many ideas!
It's flower season! Alice came over for a crafternoon making resin floral necklaces!
I had the best of intentions to professionally photograph these two baby signs..... but that didn't happen so you get photos from my garage!
Thank you for your continued support and coming up with great ideas! These signs are 6 layers of 3mm plywood; individually stained a different color and then glued together. I'm definitely using this concept again in the future!
Acrylic, wood, and scrapbook paper! This might be my favorite design to date!
Trying out something new with dried flowers and epoxy!
It's been a hot minute since the last post! I uninstalled Instagram and Facebook after the new year to try and catch up on some reading and take a break from the crafting world. Here's a few favorites from the last few months!
Trying to clean up and organize the craftermath! 3 more orders and I'm ready to settle in for a long winter's nap!
I'll post more pictures after Christmas as a lot of my projects were holiday gifts. How cool!
You serious Clark?
It's still snowing but I'm here at the Senior Center in Fort Collins until 4pm today!
Next craft show starts in 25 minutes. No time like the present to finish a few ornaments....
The Christmas in Windsor Craft Show is on from 9 - 5 today and 10 - 3 tomorrow at the Windsor Rec Center!
Jake is such a good helper with the macrame earrings! We are getting a few last minute things done for the Christmas in Windsor craft fair this weekend.
Today is THE day!!! My cousin and I have been going for 7 years in a row and we love every second of it!
The craftermath after 7.5 hours of cutting on the laser. Can you find your project? ;)
No Christmas lights yet so I'll hang this guy on my back porch lights ;)
First preview of the Christmas 2023 family ornament! This can be customized for up to 6 names. $15 plus shipping (if applicable). Message me if you are interested!
Check out this sign made out of almost entirely scrap wood! This is why I'm such a wood hoarder - so many fun things can be made with leftovers (excluding the leftovers for my supper tonight...)
