Sophia Montessori Academy presents the Positive Discipline for Parents Workshop with Montessori educator, Chip DeLorenzo, co-author of Positive Discipline in the Montessori Classroom on August 4th from 6-9pm. This two-hour workshop is for parents looking for long-term parenting skills that will teach children to think for themselves, become more responsible and have more respect for themselves and others. The day will start with breakfast at Annunciation Heights and will wrap up by 4:30. Are you ready for some time away from the office, from the laundry and dishes, or from the daily grind? Can you live without the amenities of home--like running water -- to spend time in the wilderness? Are you able to hike 3 miles with 30lbs on your back?

Then, join Father Nathan and other women who are up for this adventure. We will be guided by COR Expeditions on this 3-day journey (Monday and Friday are travel days) as you challenge yourself physically and mentally and discover your strength and desire to live life as God wants you to live. We'll travel to Monarch Pass on the Sawatch Range and hike up to our hut where we will bunk for 3 nights with a roof over our heads, but no other amenities like electricity or running water (we do have an out house though!).

COR Expeditions will provide travel from SJI to the beginning of the hiking trail and from the end of the hiking trail back to SJI. All participants, SJI, and COR Expeditions staff will leave from SJI campus together.

Please arrive no later than 3:00 PM MST on Monday, July 22nd and please select departing flights after 5:00PM MST on Friday, July 26th. You are welcome to stay the night before and/or after at the Fatima House.

We will begin with a Rosary at 7pm ant St. Mary Park and afterwards have a fun night of kickball, and other games.
