Hello hide.
(And a whale đł )
If I was a songwriter, I would try to create words that made you feel every time you heard it. You know, like really felt it. A song that someone could literally belt standing in the bathroom crying their eyes out or driving down a dirt road on a 75° day.
Rachel Brenke spitting facts this beautiful Wednesday. Donât get me wrong, I love a great product, mass produced or not, but there is a massive gap here. Ashley Andrews-Alderson made a sickening post about her The Boutique Hub friend who is being CLEARLY robbed by SHEIN (or Temu, heck probably both)- this is how SHE (us, and SO many others) FEEDS HER FAMILY- pays her electric, groceriesâŚ. Literally LIVES. And if sheâs anything like us (and Iâm certain she is) she is physically ILL over seeing her livelihood mocked for a child in who knows where to work in a sweatshop for 11 rubles a day to make something that kinda looks like the photo she probably spent hundreds of dollars on with a photographer for her products to look great so people would buy them. I can promise you small business KNOW BETTER than to âprice gougeâ. If their products are âexpensiveâ, itâs likely equal to the time and quality needed to create said item. If youâve ever heard me speak in person, youâve heard me say â¨why⨠WE DONâT WHOLESALE. But I can assure you your dollars spent with us go to real life unicorns-I mean ladies- in Wapakoneta and St Maryâs Ohio. Thank you for coming to my TED Talks

Dreaming of pretty thingsâŚ.
Sharing this beauty was put off for so long by the pile of papers on my computer that is no longer existent.
Everyone-Yo, itâs a full-time job just keeping the house clean living with three boys and three dogs.
Me-Ha.
For real.
Run that washer twice!
RUN THE DISHWASHER TWICE.
When I was at one of my lowest (mental) points in life, I couldnât get out of bed some days. I had no energy or motivation and was barely getting by.
I had therapy once per week, and on this particular week, I didnât have much to âbringâ to the session. He asked how my week was and I really had nothing to say.
âWhat are you struggling with?â he asked.
I gestured around me and said âI dunno man. Life.â
Not satisfied with my answer, he said âNo, what exactly are you worried about right now? What feels overwhelming? When you go home after this session, what issue will be staring at you?â
I knew the answer, but it was so ridiculous that I didnât want to say it. I wanted to have something more substantial. Something more profound. But I didnât. So I told him,
âHonestly? The dishes. Itâs stupid, I know, but the more I look at them the more I CANâT do them because Iâll have to scrub them before I put them in the dishwasher, because the dishwasher sucks, and I just canât stand and scrub the dishes.â
I felt like an idiot even saying it. What kind of grown woman is undone by a stack of dishes? There are people out there with actual problems, and Iâm whining to my therapist about dishes? But my therapist nodded in understanding and then said:
âRUN THE DISHWASHER TWICE.â
I began to tell him that youâre not supposed to, but he stopped me.
âWhy the hell arenât you supposed to? If you donât want to scrub the dishes and your dishwasher sucks, run it twice. Run it three times, who cares? Rules do not exist, so stop giving yourself rules.â
It blew my mind in a way that I donât think I can properly express.
That day, I went home and tossed my smelly dishes haphazardly into the dishwasher and ran it three times. I felt like I had conquered a dragon. The next day, I took a shower lying down. A few days later. I folded my laundry and put them wherever they fit. There were no longer arbitrary rules I had to follow, and it gave me the freedom to make accomplishments again.
Now that Iâm in a healthier place, I rinse off my dishes and put them in the dishwasher properly. I shower standing up. I sort my laundry. But at a time when living was a struggle instead of a blessing, I learned an incredibly important lesson:
THERE ARE NO RULES. RUN THE DISHWASHER TWICE!

We love when the phone rings and there is actually someone on the other end who wants to talk/do business with you. Not just âYour google business listing blah blah blahâ spam.
Another leather engraving commission came down the line from searching on google. We love that weâre starting to show up in the search on google for basic leather terms. Anyone with seo knowledge knows itâs not easy in a crowded market.
But for some reason we cannot get people to stop calling about shoe repair đŠâđ§ sorry not us.

First rule: donât get blood on the leather.
When cleaning tooled leather, pick up an inexpensive horse brush, I like the skinny ones. And just give it a little brush when needed.
If a real life octopus swam on to your head, would you run(get it off) OR check it out(let it hang for a bit)?
