"The Magic Paintbrush" can be a great learning tool in social emotional development education.
In the book, the young boy is bullied by the rich man, yet despite this, the boy never lost sight of his end goal of helping those in need.
What would you say is a good way to deal with bullying? Would this have prevented you from reaching your goal? Despite the rich man getting what he wanted, the boy was able to use his greed against him, so did the ends justify the means?

This weekโs featured story is โThe Magic Paintbrushโ, which is based upon a Chinese folktale.
In this story, a young artist uses a magic paintbrush to help everyone in need and finds a clever way to say goodbye to a greedy man.
If you had a magic paintbrush, what would you paint? Would you have handled things differently from how the boy handled it?
Read this story along with several other books, over on our websiteโs library! Available now in English, Spanish and Chinese!
This week's featured story is "The Magic Mirror", available now in English, Spanish and Chinese over on our website's library!
Along with the story, students will also discover six new games for every story and word book - in all languages. The interactive games can be played again and again!
In this game, students pop the balloons and then attempt to match the words with the correct corresponding images!
This week's featured story is "The Magic Mirror"!
In this classic Spanish folktale, the King of Granada is looking for a wife, but there is one stipulation: whoever wants to be his wife must look into a magic mirror that judges the goodness of her character, and will show as many blemishes on the mirror as she has made mistakes in her life.
The shepherdess knew she had made mistakes, but she wasn't afraid to gaze into the magic mirror.
What do you think is the moral of the story? Have you ever had a similar experience? Be sure to check out the full story in our library, available in English, Spanish, and Chinese!
The greater flamingo is the largest flamingo species and can measure up to five feet tall when standing erect with its head raised, but only weighs a maximum of eight pounds.
The lesser flamingo is the smallest flamingo and can reach three feet tall and typically weighs 3-6 pounds.
Don't forget to check out "Fantastic Flamingos" to learn more about flamingos, which is available now in our library! Available in English, Spanish and Chinese!
Did you know flamingos naturally eat underwater, and with their bills almost upside down?
Their bills suck in the surrounding water, which is then passed through briny plates (called lamellae) that filter the water for food. The motion of the flamingo's tongue powers this feeding filtration system!
Be sure to check out our latest featured story, "Fantastic Flamingos", available now on our website!
Have you had a chance to read our featured story this week? Be sure to check out "Fantastic Flamingos" in our library to learn more about flamingos!
Did you know that flamingo chicks are initially born with grey and white feathers? They don't get their pink feathers for another year or two.
The pink flamingo color is a result of the beta-carotene in the crustaceans and plankton that the flamingos eat.
Zoo flamingos' feathers will sometimes turn white if their diet is not supplemented with either live shrimp or flamingo chow containing carotenoid pigments!
