Thank you to all who donated and shared the GoFundMe after the crazy rains that covered the Northshore last week. There are so many good people out there and we got to experience it firsthand. Being a small part of Guisel's experience restored our faith in our world.

If you use a food delivery service like we do at Sticks BBQ - please consider helping a local DoorDasher who we witnessed drive into a ditch in the flash flooding this afternoon.
Along with local business owner, Tia of LuxnailsNbeauty on Asbury in Mandeville, we assisted Gisel out of her car and completed her food delivery for her as she was obviously shaken up. Gisel works 3 jobs and was doing this delivery on a break from one of her jobs when this incident occurred. She just paid off her vehicle and is obviously distraught. We started a GoFundMe to hopefully help Gisel get back into a car and on her feet again.

Sticks BBQ
Sticks originally opened as “Sticks-n-Bones Bar-B-Que” in January, 2016 at it’s original location at 1770 Highway 59 in Mandeville. The original owner put the business up for sale in late 2016 and Deanna & Brent Sparkman purchased it in January, 2017. The Sparkman Family (their 4 young daughters included) have loved this business from day 1. As natives of Houston, Texas, Deanna & Brent had been missing good BBQ since moving to Louisiana in 2006 and they had finally found it. With some tweaks and additions of our own, we take pride in and love the food we serve daily to our guests.
There was a rebranding in January, 2019, which included changing the name to Sticks BBQ. The matchstick represents the fire in our bellies to keep growing and loving on this business. And no more being called “Sticks and Stones!”
With 2 locations in Mandeville, we’re hoping to grow and share the passion we have for our food, our guests and our amazing krewe. We’ll keep smokin’ the best stuff on the Northshore for as long as our amazing guests keep coming!
