A great skill while out is being able to settle while your distracted and not get up to get into mischief! Roscoe worked on just that while in a store with dogs and people around!

Howie worked on settling at a patio and was a Very Good Boy during it even when a person tried to pet him from behind without asking

It was a mall day yesterday due to the terrible weather!
The dogs got to work on store manners, settling when shopping, being calm in the food court and loose leash walking
Also, I would say they got to practice being cute but they don't need practice at that ♥️

Cooper went on a Hike today with teacher Kookaburra to work on recalls and check ins!
Cooper went to Yorktown today and worked on some loose leash walking and did phenomenal!
The hiking trail was a little wet today 😂
Swimming Jackson! I'm pretty sure this is the first time he swam and I think he's a fan!

During summer if you bring your dogs to water, especially Lakes or ponds but rivers less often, you need to be aware of what Blue Green Algea and Harmful Algea Blooms (HAB) look like.
HABs can be deadly to dogs so it's important to pay attention to any body of water you allow them to go into or drink from
In the comments I'll put two fantastic videos that help show what to look for. One is only 7 minutes but covers a ton of great info in that time
I've already seen DuPage Forest Preserve saying that they have a algae bloom in East Branch Dog park and I know every year Herrick Lake has it.
Because if less cold winters and climate change we are seeing it earlier and earlier in the season so please always be aware!

Hiking dogs! Making sure to enjoy this before everywhere is too overgrown
I'm so impressed with all the dogs this week, huge strides in recall and check ins and just phenomenal work all around!
What else do you do on a hike in 90 degree weather but swim and wade!
