I’m a parent & spouse, I have a day job, and I know how it can be overwhelming just getting yourself through the day. Have you ever found yourself trying to figure out why you can’t stay motivated long enough to pursue any goal that takes any length of time to achieve? Having social anxiety that effects you at work or in other important settings? Managing your time and schedule in a way that makes
sense and works for you? I’ve been right there with you (and am still there if you catch me on the right day). It wasn’t that long ago that I was living with crippling anxiety; I couldn’t seem to accomplish anything that I wanted to. It was difficult to take care of myself let alone be able to care for my family members or handle other responsibilities. I was the most neurotic person I knew. It took all of my energy to try and appear “normal” at work and home, while I knew that it had to be apparent to anyone paying attention that I was just barely managing. Since then I have uncovered some things that have changed my mindset. I have changed some things in my life and eliminated anxiety as well as set me in the direction of living a life with purpose. It hasn’t been easy, in fact it has taken me a lot longer than it needed to make the progress I have made. I now feel like i am in the driver’s seat more than ever in my experience with ADHD. I’m pursuing what matters most to me, and each day continues to be a step in the right direction. I want you to share this experience with me, and make steps toward experiencing your life in a whole new way. That’s where Distractonaut comes in.
