Man, I don’t even know where to start on this one but our 23 Wolves squad had themselves one heck of a weekend. They went 4-1 on the weekend and lost a tough, gritty semifinal game that went back and forth the whole way. We came out up in the first quarter, trailing in the second quarter and we went toe to toe against one of the top teams in our area where it was tied with a couple minutes left. The other team hit some huge 3’s the last couple minutes to squeak by us by 9 but you better believe that it was closer than that score and our guys earned a lot of respect from other teams, other coaches and parents who were there watching the heavyweight match shake out. 💪💪
This squad was my most talented team, won more games and more tourneys than any other squad I had over the past 8 years so losing this one hurt since it was our last tourney together. I told them it was one of my favorite games to have ever watched them play cause they left it all on the court. We had 2 starters who were only 50-60% healthy who refused to sit out and miss the game. That kind of heart isn’t teachable. That was their will, their determination, their love for the game and their love for each other speaking out in actions cause these guys have been to war hundreds of times for me and never once backed down from a challenge.
We went 25-15 this year, had a rocky start with multiple players hurt but they bounced back strong finishing 17-5 the last two months with 3 losses by less than 3 points and the tough games like yesterday that we were in it til the end. This same squad was 28-8 last year when they won 4 straight tourneys in 4 different cities (Austin, RR, Houston and San Antonio). So when you look at their 53-23 record you can say these boys knew how to win. They knew how to play as a team, they moved the ball beautifully and shot lights out of so many gyms…. But their heart, hustle, teamwork and bond on and off the court that made them push each other to work harder or made them shake off a bad day and get after it from start to finish of each game is what I will miss watching. We had comeback victories where we were down 15-20 points that saw us storm back to win, we’ve also had bad games and been beat by 20 cause shots simply weren’t falling but thru both situations these boys held their heads high and knew they belonged in the conversations of some of the most talented teams in our Austin area and I can walk away knowing that our Wolves era ended strong and well respected because of the hard work these guys put in together. Proud of y’all. Love y’all. Can’t wait to see what the future holds for y’all.
🐺 🏀 ❤️ 🐺
Much love,
Coach Shawn
Our 24/25 squad ended their summer season on a good note. They went 3-2 playing in a tough JV division and they went 2-0 on Sunday to win the consolation bracket. This group went thru a lot of adversity and played in varsity tournaments except 3 which made it even tougher on them since they hardly ever had everyone at practice together and I don’t think we ever had everyone at one tournament together with people missing here and there for different reasons. Yet thru all of that they kept their heads up and kept getting better. Solid day to end the season. Proud of y’all.
Some action shots from our 23’s today 💪💪
🐺 Family. 💯
Had Wolves from this year, last year, couple years ago even all in one gym.
Our brotherhood doesn’t stop when the games stop and the alumni players that pulled up to hang out and support showed that. 🐺
Our older Wolves had themselves a good weekend this past weekend, we won our first 4 games and met up with another Austin team that had a lot of familiar players for a good ol ATX showdown that had us trading shots thru the first half and kept it a 1-2 bucket game for all of the 3rd and we simply ran outta gas in the 4th at the time the hit some big shots we just couldn’t overcome.
Regardless of it not ending how we wanted it to, this squad battles. They fight each and every game and always leave it on all on the court. This group is one of my most talented teams we’ve had and the fun never stops with these guys.
4-1 ain’t nothing to hold your heads down on but we know at full strength and with everyone healthy it’s a whole different ball game. 💪
Proud of my Wolves all day, everyday.
Christian Ayoola out here putting on a show.
💪💪
Some days you just soak in the awesome moments you’ve had as a squad. This group (even though a couple guys are missing but know they are) this group has spent so many hours in the gym together.
This was after practice and the “old guys” were just chillin after another good productive workout.
Special group 💯
Some of our 24/25 Wolves in action this weekend
Battled hard the first day and lost 1 game by 2 in OT and another game was close losing by 5. Then they bounced back on day 2 to go 2-0 and walk away as the consolation Champs. Definitely proud of how this team played all weekend as we can see the growth in each of them each and every week. 💪

Game 1 of the Houston GASO. We came out cold and the other team couldn’t miss as they got the jump on us early but our Wolves battled back and kept it interesting the rest of the way. Just couldn’t overcome that early deficit dropping game one 51-71 to Dream Elite 17U.
Parker Mazzola led the way with 18 points
Will Cole scored 10
Zach Phuong scored 9
Rylan VanNoller scored 6
Luke Baldwin had 6
Andy Li scored 2

Back at it with our Wolves. 💪💪
Happy New Year to all of our basketball families out there. Going to be a good year…. I can feel it.
Our Wolves took some time off and it’s been a little bit since we got them out there but they wanted to get on the court again and didn’t disappoint. First game was a little tough but we bounced back and won the next two by grinding out the dubs where everyone chipped in. Love watching this group of guys hoop.
Good times with good people.
Our Wolves came down to Htown and did their thing. 3-0, taking home the 🏆 while putting up 80 points

I haven’t been posting on FB much this year but check out our Instagram and you can see we’ve had a busy summer.
Varsity boys won 4 championships including 3 in a row in 3 different cities capping the season off with a good run this past weekend at the RRSC going 5-0 and beating teams from Austin, Houston and San Antonio to take the 🏆
JV has won 2 tournaments this year and keeps on growing in confidence each day.
Always a good time with our Wolves. 💪💪
Our younger Wolves just battled in a heck of a game vs Elite Nation Heat…. We fell behind in the first half as the Hear came out hitting their shots. After we fell behind 33-50, our boys stepped up on defense and kept working the ball on offense going on a 35-13 run to end the game with a 68-63 victory in OT. Proud of these guys for keeping their heads up, trusting their teammates and battling til the end.
Next game is the semifinals against a good Killeen Focus Scholars squad. Lets go!!
💪💪👏👏
Day 2 of GASO and moving on to the JV championship bracket.
Our Wolves came out strong and started the GASO weekend off right grinding thru a overtime win tonight versus the local Next Level program.
Tomorrow we look to continue the fun.
🐺 Let’s go Wolves 🐺
Sam Scott was able to sneak in a dunk versus the younger Wolves in this quick clip.
🐺🤣🤣 💪💪🐺
Wolves balled out today as both teams went 2-0 in the high school tourney, so we had a Wolves vs Wolves championship.
Older Wolves jumped out on top after a big first half leading 48-36 only for the younger Wolves to light up the second half and clamped down on defense. The result was a double overtime thriller that ended on a “sudden death” style (whoever scores first) ending.
Older Wolves came away with the 71-69 victory after a nice finish on a layup by Jake Woolf to seal the championship for them.
Overall it was a great day for our guys and a really good game to end the day. Proud of both teams and looking forward to the next one.
🐺 Proud of my Wolves 🐺
When you have a former QB that plays for ya (Sam Scott) and you call a timeout with 3 seconds left at the end of the first half.... this can easily happen.
Look at the dime this guy throws to Justin Zimmerman for a incredible play and a And-1 to finish the half.
Made me look like a genius, but I literally said “I have no miracle play for ya, just drop a pass to someone to make a play” and that happened.
💪💪🤣🤣
Another quick shout out. This time to our guy Jake Woolf for being named the Vista Ridge Varsity Most Improved Player this year!
👏👏👏💪💪💪🏀🏀
Congrats Jake Woolf!!!
Quick shout out to our guy Jeremy for being selected the Vista Ridge JV Offensive Player of the Year.
👏👏👏💪💪💪
Congrats Jeremy Coltharp!
Well we didn’t walk away with the trophy but both of our teams had some good times down in SA.
Never a dull moment with our squad as there was plenty of fireworks popping all over the courts we were on. One game had us come out on top in a 96-93 shootout... yeah you heard that right. We saw it all this weekend but it was as wild and fun. 🤣🤣🤣
Good times with good people and plenty of good basketball still to come.
Proud of my Wolves as both teams were not at full strength but still battled thru it and both ended up losing to the team that won it all. So can’t really be too upset about that, sometimes the shots just don’t fall our way so we keep fighting and bounce back from it.
Can’t wait to get back to work.
🐺💪💪🏀👏👏🐺
