Texas Youth Advocates is a 501c3 Non- Profit Organization that works to positively impact our youth.
The name SIXERinc was unique in that, at first glance, there was no immediate meaning which comes to mind. However, if you explore the root of the name and its humble beginnings then one quickly realizes that it personifies the vision and mission of the organization. TYA supporters! Our summer basketball program, Sixers Basketball, is holding a fundraiser to cover food, hotel and transportation expenses for our 5 teams this summer.
Sixers Basketball allows surrounding area youth to travel, learn and mature as young adults. Basketball functions as a vehicle for change. It serves as the medium for mentoring participants through life lessons, driving home the importance of education and providing an opportunity to be exposed to experiences outside of East Texas.
To make the program affordable, we try to cover 50% of the expenses ourselves. This is were your help is needed. Below is a donation board. Pick a number and donate that amount. It’s that simple! Once a number has been selected, it will be removed from the board and can no longer be selected.

We would like to open the curtain regarding our flagship program, Sixers Basketball. For those who may not know, Sixers Basketball allows surrounding area youth to travel, learn and mature as young adults. Basketball functions as a vehicle for change. It serves as the medium for mentoring participants through life lessons, driving home the importance of education and providing an opportunity to be exposed to experiences outside of East Texas.
Since its inception, our goal has always been to make the program affordable for the youth in our community. Over time and as we’ve grown, that has become harder and harder to do!
For those who appreciate what we do and have understood the financial cost of what we provide, we thank you! For those who may feel we charge too much…below is a glimpse into the numbers from summer 2023!
