Monday, January 24th at 11pm we welcomed a healthy baby boy into the world. He was born at home with our incredible team of midwives. I carried him to 40 weeks and 4 days never having any ultrasounds or obstetric care. Turns out he’s a big boy! 8lbs 9oz and 21”. His birth proved to be the most challenging, transformative event of my life. Labor was long, he hung on so strong and Tate was by my side reassuring me that despite the obstacles we were facing we could and would bring this baby into the world at home. As every parent knows, there are no words to express the depth of love we have for him.
