Looking for some evening Pickleball? We rarely have weekday evening courts available, but......... We have 2 courts available on Thursdays Jan. 11th and 18th from 6-8pm. Christmas Pickleball Camp at SITC!

Sign your kids up for our inaugural Christmas pickleball camp!
This 2-day camp will be held Wednesday, December 27th and Thursday, December 28th. We will have two separate groups based on school grade level.

3rd, 4th, and 5th graders --> 11:00am - 12:15pm
6th, 7th, and 8th graders --> 12:30pm - 1:45pm

Camp registration is $60 total, due at registration.

The program will be conducted by Bruce Kimmell, an experienced Pickleball instructor.

This 3-week series focuses on a different stroke each week. These are strokes that players typically do not work on but are important to becoming a complete player.

Pickleball Health and Hope Night-featuring free open play pickleball.

The program begins at 6:30pm with a brief presentation from Andrea Allen, a local renown Health Coach. Doors open at 6:15.

Immediately following the presentation, we will have 5 open courts for pickleball play from 7:00pm-9:00pm.

There will be drawings for free pickleball gear at @8:45pm.

There is no cost for admission or to play pickleball this evening. Come check out this valuable information and enjoy an evening of fun and exercise.

𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐟𝐟 𝐒𝐩𝐨𝐭𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭: Jerry Kraesig

𝘗𝘰𝘴𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯: 𝘚𝘵𝘢𝘧𝘧 𝘛𝘦𝘢𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘗𝘳𝘰

Background: Jerry is from Milltown, IN but spent most of his life in Hawaii and has returned home. Jerry was the #1 player his Junior and Senior year. He has held top 10 state rankings in Hawaii (Ranked #2 in doubles for the U21 division) and has college wins over a number of D-1 schools and a top 5 Junior College. Jerry was also a member of the Hawaii Jr. Davis Cup Team. His collegiate career includes the Hawaii State Jr. College doubles championship.

Experience: Jerry became a Certified USPTA Pro at the age of 19 and has held this certification for over 30 years. Most of his professional tennis career has been at military bases and resorts communities. He was a Staff Pro at the JW Marriot Ihilani and the Head Tennis Pro at The Ko Olina Resort on Oahu. Jerry has worked with both adults and juniors from all over the world including some that were nationally ranked. He has also coached high school tennis and at the local club level.

At SITC: Jerry joined the SITC earlier this month. He enjoys working with students at all ages and levels but likes to focus on players who want to have fun, be competitive and want to play the game for years to come. Jerry is available for private lessons and group clinics for both juniors and adults.

𝘗𝘰𝘴𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯: 𝘚𝘵𝘢𝘧𝘧 𝘛𝘦𝘢𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘗𝘳𝘰

Background: Originally from Ecuador, Gema became the #1 junior player in her country at 16 years old. She was recruited to play at Bluefield University in Virginia and was the #1 singles and doubles player on her NAIA college team where she was named player of the year.

Experience: Gema has worked at Twin Cities Tennis Camps in Minneapolis for the past six summers where she earned the facility director title. Gema was the interim Head Coach for the Women’s NAIA Tennis Program at Lindsey Wilson College in Kentucky for two seasons and was named Mid-South Conference Coach of the Year in 2021.

At SITC: Gema joined the SITC in August 2023, and she is quickly becoming a key element in our junior program instruction. She is available for junior and adult private lessons as well as adult clinics.

New fast feed schedule went into effect this week! Saturday mornings are back to 8:30am start time, and weekday evenings now start at 7:00pm. See you on court!

Southern Indiana Tennis Center Coed, Ages 5-8. This class uses red balls. The focus is on developing younger players' athleticism and learning the fundamentals of tennis.

Asphalt work complete for the court surfaces. Net post placements are finished. The inflation and HVAC units are set in place and the air supported structure is on site and has been readied for inflation.

We offer Recreational Doubles for adults on several days of the week. Our league coordinators set up the matches, and players rotate partners every eight games in a fun doubles format. This coed flex league allows you to play only when you are available without any long-term commitment. Check it out at https://southernindianatennis.com/adults under Adult League Play.

Foundations are finished. Soil is compacted and leveled to correct elevation. Tennis court builder will be on site next week to start on the court surfaces.

We will be offering 6 indoor courts and 3 indoor pickleball courts this fall. Getting excited.................

Week 2 of Kids Pickleball Camp is next week June 19 thru June 22. Our professional instructor, Bruce Kimmell, is wonderful with the kiddos and they had a great time learning this fun game during week 1. This is for children grades 2 through 6.

We still have space available. This camp is Monday thru Thursday, 12:00-1:15 each day and we provide any needed equipment. The cost for the week is $99.00. Call us at 812-288-8424 to register.

NOW REGISTERING for youth summer tennis camps!

We have camps for kids ages 5-18 and for all playing levels from beginners to elite juniors. Clinics are led by experienced staff teaching professionals in a fun, instructional environment.

All programs are set up in weekly 4-day camps running Monday thru Thursday. Weeks offered include: June 5-8, June 12-15, June 19-22, June 26-29, July 10-13, and July 17-20.

Class sizes are limited so early registration is recommended.

SITC SUMMER PICKLEBALL CAMP

SITC is excited to offer our first Pickleball Camp for kids this summer. Kids entering 3rd through 6th grade can participate in our weekly Pickleball Camps.

This a great way to introduce kids to a new sport that offers a fun way to get active and is easy to learn. We will have professional instruction provided so the kids will learn the proper rules and techniques. Registration is limited to 10 participants per week so register now!

The 4-day camps will be offered 12:00-1:15pm, Monday thru Thursday. Cost is $99.00 per week.

Weeks offered are:

June 5-8, June 19-22, July 10-13, and July 17-20.

Our indoor center offers a great playing environment with no annoying sun, wind, or heat to worry about.
