As a farewell to the 2023 lacrosse season a little reminder of what itās all about during the guy/girl game: friendships, fun, and unity.
Until Next Seasonā¦ Go Plymouth Wildcats!
P.s. to see more photos there is an album posted on the Plymouth boys FB page, go check it out. https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.213246708318918&type=3&mibextid=ncKXMA
Officially the last āpracticeā of the 2023 season. Uniforms turned in, water balloons filled, a hot sunny day, and lots of laughter. Sports are suppose to be fun, and today was fun. Have a great off season!
(2/2) Juniorsā¦ Plymouth girls Lacrosseās rising leaders. Three years have flown by and itās your turn to take the top spot. It can be a transition many of you are ready for, yet itās ok to be unsure of what lies ahead. Lead while keeping in mind what it was like to be a freshman. Be the mentors like others were to you. The impact you leave by being a friend is far greater than being the star on the team. Work hard, play hard, and be great!

Congratulations to our KLAA All Conference Athletes.
Thank you to our sophmore players! We had new and returning players in this group of you ladies. Each of you stepped into your roles and did a wonderful job at bringing the confidence and comfort to the team which helped bring everything together. Great job!
Thank you to our freshman Wildcats for trusting the process. Most of you have never played lacrosse but gave it a try. Throughout the season you soaked up all you had to learn and were amazing!
We hope to see you all again on the field never season. Encourage friends to join you. Have a great off season, do wall ball, pick up ground balls, keep having fun!
Go Cats!
Seniors, I know you all are older because was asked to remind me during the first week of the season to get a group senior photo. Then was to be the reminder and she said, āok as long as I do not forget.ā and (both missing from the photo) forgot they had a game!
Getting older is hard, so much to think about and do in the coming days. The fun of prom, graduation, summer, and starting the next chapter in life. So let us remind you of some things we do not want you all to forget.
1. You are loved by your families and friends.
2. Plymouth/Canton may not be where you stay but it will always be your home.
3. Your willingness to play and leadership through lacrosse has touched others lives in ways you may never know. You made a difference to others.
4. Remember that success isnāt a linear line, itās a squiggle of controlled chaos headed in the right direction. Lines do not end, segments do. This is just one segment of your line.
5. (Is for other to add in the comments things you do not want these seniors to forget).
Best of luck, and Go Cats!
The rain didnāt stop the game, nor can it ruin the friendships built over the season.

What an amazing ācaptureā of the ball!!
Lots of other great moments coming in the following days. Players/family if you canāt wait for the posts more photos have been added to the drive for your viewing.
As the season comes to a close, I wanted to thank all you beautiful young ladies for allowing me and the photo parents to capture the past 4 years on camera. (Long post, not sorry.)
Through the lens of the camera we have created a love letter so to speak to you all. Having watched you all walk onto the practice field every freshman year unsure of what is to come, even a pandemic. The uncertainty of never having played, the concern over dropping a ball, and playing your first games. Plymouth girls lax social media has never been about who won or loss but celebrating the success and relationships with each other. How you made each other feel is what will be remembered, not how many games won or goals scored. The goal was to have you be able to look at photos/video and believe in yourself, feel seen, and hopefully think ālook at what an athlete I am.ā To feel empowered and proud to be a Plymouth Wildcat.
When you look back on this time at Plymouth Lacrosse, through social media, hopefully each of you realize without you the team would be very different. Each of you brings a unique gift to the team and are amazing. Do not be afraid to let your gifts shine. Being on a team helps shine a light on both strengths and weaknesses of the individual and the team. Do not let your āweaknessā be stronger than your strength. Always look for the good and strength in each other, so as to make the person and team stronger.
So as with any season, there is a time for change, someone new will take over the Plymouth Girls lacrosse social media soon. May the new group of volunteers love doing this job as much as I have. Itās exciting to think of how much better things can become with new ideas, new visions, and lots of love! Remember: all us parents think you are the best team in the entire world, š not needed.
Go Wildcats!
