Happy Mother's Day to our founder, Tamara Mayne 🤍 ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​"Being a mama to my two beautiful boys has been the greatest gift of my life, and the role that always comes first. I love watching them grow up, reading their favorite books to them, taking them on adventures around New York City, and teaching them everything I can about life, and so much more.

I started Brooklyn Candle Studio before I had any kids, so I was able to dedicate so much more of myself in its infancy. After having my first child, I tried to be a full-time mom AND run a business simultaneously, but it crushed me, even with regular help from my own mom. So much turned around after I hired wonderful talented people to take over operations and after Steve, my husband and our current CEO, came on-board to help grow BCS. I’m so grateful for everything that Steve and our team does.

I had our second baby less than two years ago, and I’m still trying to find my new rhythm. I want to spend as much quality time as I can with both our children while also continuing to innovate and create beautiful products for Brooklyn Candle Studio. It’s been hard, but I’m getting there. My heart goes out to all the moms out there; our job is beautiful and chaotic and all-encompassing."
