Why Accurate Measurement Matters: Accurate measurement of road courses is essential for ratification of records and recognition of qualifying times for participation in major marathons. It ensures fairness and consistency across different races.

AIMS works in partnership with World Athletics (formerly the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF)) and together we have adopted the calibrated bicycle method as the only approved method for measuring road races.

Last year, 15,000 of us transformed the expressway teal. Let's paint an even more vibrant picture for 2024! Join us in making it 18K runners, and let's add another 5K on the expressway this time round.

Bank of America Chicago Marathon with 2:00:35 😵

He becomes the first man in history to break 2:01.

Kelvin Kiptum has broken the world record for the marathon, running 2:00:35 to break the old record by 34 seconds ! His splits for the last 12k were simply amazing!
