Very sad that there are people like this out there. If you would like to report this hateful review of our Crown Heights location to Google, we wouldn’t complain.

Because of numerous recent inquiries like the one above from our many fans at , we’re now willing to confirm publicly that its founder PERMANENTLY BANNED us last year for the horrible crime of displaying a tiny, one-inch South Korean flag on the forehead of our mascot Prezz Lee on a tent banner. Meanwhile, a booth across from us that day in March 2023 flew a large Italian flag all day without penalty.

If you are a fan and would like to see us return to Japan Fes, please make your voice heard and let Dragon know that you want Memphis Seoul back at Japan Fes ASAP!

Coming soon to the Memphis Seoul menu … bibimbap-style salads! Y’all’s choice of protein (Bulgogi Meatloaf, Fried Chicken, Fried Catfish, Pulled Pork or BBQ Jackfruit) on a heapin’ bed of fresh mixed greens. Then we top that delicious junt with Kimchi Koleslaw, Sesame Pickles and a sunnyside-up fried egg. Look for it on all our menus when we open our new East Village location later this month, mane!

We usually try to keep things light on social media, but the current situation with requires speaking out.

Because of their statements in the article in this picture, we will be officially de-listing from DoorDash and its subsidiary . We will also let them know we will sue for trademark infringement if they continue to list us without our consent, as they have famously done with other restaurants in the past.

For DoorDash to portray themselves as the “good guys” by cracking down on restaurants for having higher prices on the third-party platforms is like an arsonist trying to get credit for putting out the fire they just started.

Because DoorDash and the other third-party platforms take 20% or more in commission on every single order (and because DoorDash wants us to subsidize their nefarious DashPass program), restaurants literally have no other option but to raise their prices significantly on the third-party platforms.

Please understand that this is not because of “greed” on the part of the restaurants. If we don’t raise prices on the third-party platforms, WE WILL LITERALLY LOSE MONEY ON EVERY ORDER.

These middle-man platforms are just parasites. No matter what they say, they do NOT care about restaurants.

As always, if you want to get delivery from Memphis Seoul or any other restaurant, please do it through the restaurant’s own website (if available). That is always the best way to support your favorite local small businesses.

But if you insist on ordering through these third-party platforms, just know that you won’t be able to get Memphis Seoul on DoorDash or Caviar any longer.

Enough is enough.
