A beautiful day to cook BBQ. Pete and myself cooked our Ass off today. We did good! So proud of the food we turned in. Unfortunately we didn’t come in 1st but we did earn Reserve Geand Champion! What a pleasure it is to cook with all the amazing pitmasters at this event.

I was shocked to say the least. Our very 1st Reserve Grand Champion ! #1 Chicken and #1 in the anything Butt Competition. got lucky today. Congratulations to Ultimate Tailgaters BBQ for winning Grand Champion. Congratulations to my wife for her anything butt comp winning.

Well, 3 Chord Country Cookin’ got some calls today! We placed 1st in Chicken, 3rd in Ribs and 3rd overall at the Omar Shrine Hillbilly Outpost #1 BBQ Cook Off! Greg Hardee did a great job with this event. Congratulations to Ultimate Tailgaters BBQ for their Grand Champion win and to Bayou BBQ for taking Reserve Grand Champion. Thank you to Scott Inabinet with Fu man cue bbq and to Carpenter with Backdraft BBQ SC for all your help!
