Great fun with my friends at a rabbit show on the coast.

We brought my FV's Sweet Bonbon, my chocolate Giant Angora buck. I was able to get awesome feedback from the judges.

We brought along a beautiful Giant Angora buck to greet the Yarn Festival's customers, Loveland, CO

He's been very calm and taking the extra attention very well.

We are asking for name suggestions.

Saturday afternoon we will select a name from the collection.

I also have a slew of new baby Angoras that will need names soon. Having a bag full of new names will be a tremendous help naming all the new kids! Yay!

5 Shows in 2 days, whew!

My 2 favorite boys took turns winning BOB throughout the weekend. As they are brothers, they are very similar.

FV'S Ostentatious won RIS in the Angora Specialty show.

I have been asked numerous times as to what my shearing schedule is, and does it help stimulate more growth in the wool if the juniors are sheared early.

I have experience with both shearing the youngsters early and also allowing them to grow their junior coat out, typically reserving the latter for rabbits destined for rabbit show purposes. I do think the additional shearing does contribute to the increased wool growth and density, although at this point, it is only my speculation.

My plan is to shear their right side a few times, and then at a specific point, I will shear them all. Then, I will monitor their next wool coat's wool growth. All the while documenting the process.

Whew! Great day at Black Sheep Gathering! Wonderful potluck, Sudan Farm's BBQ'd lamb was delicious! Meeting new friends & seeing old friends, makes the day absolutely perfect.

Omg, what a great trip to Interweave Yarn Fest!!!

We made tons of new friends, joyfully greeted more & more return customers, laughed, shared & was incredibly inspiring.

I am catching up on some Giant Angora shearings today. Mr. Immense was giving me the evil eye look. I know he feels better, but he was definitely done with me today, lol.

We're done for now, we'll be seeing him again in a few weeks for his C&C. Then 3 months another hair cut 😉
