The Pepe’s Tacos Story

I’ve been asked on several occasions how Pepe‘s Tacos came to be.

This is Our Story.

About a decade ago my siblings and I faced the realization, our father was not the immortal superhero, which our immature minds allowed us to grow up believing. A daunting reality sunk in, he was human. A human susceptible to illness. Illnesses that would lead to multiple hospitalizations, endless worry and a man fighting for his life in a hospital bed. With blessed hands, a team of healthcare providers gave our father another shot at life. This new shot at life did not come without its struggles. With an accumulation of chronic health issues, my father lost his ability to work as he once did. This lead to him doubting his personal worth. We watched him in his struggle. I began to realize a persons attitude and internal thought process impacts their health and drive to thrive. I knew in this moment I needed to help restore my dads sense of self worth, and help him find a way to contribute to his family and to society. The desire to work and assist my family steams from my childhood, working long hours alongside my father. With this and my father’s history in the food industry, an idea blossomed for what is now known as Pepes Tacos. A Food Truck was built, in his honor. A food truck where he spends part of his time working. A food truck which assisted with bringing a smile back to his face.

-I would like to take a moment and give name recognition to one special individual who made our beginnings possible: Robert Kyle. Although he is no longer with us, he is in our thoughts and we will be forever grateful to him.-
