I finished my last painting for the Tulip Time Festival Artisan Market this weekend. I’ve been able to finish 24 in the last couple of months. Although I enjoy painting tulips, I will be ready to focus my attention on other subjects going forward. Really looking forward to the festival and hope to see lots of people at the market.

‘Dutch Delivery’: Tulip Time unveils official poster for 2024 festival Tulip Time organizers have announced the winner of this year’s official poster contest! Dutch Delivery by John Cowden will serve as the official poster for the 95th annual Tulip Time.

I just finished painting this 8”x 10” of the old Cal Turner barn that used to stand on the property in Brentwood Tennessee between Franklin Road and I-65. The barn was torn down in 2011 after being damaged beyond repair in a storm. At Christmas time they draped the roof with a mural of the nativity. Still thinking about a title

The Far Side

I painted this one from a photo that I took at Magic At The Mill at Windmill Island Gardens a couple of years ago. The windmill “DeZwaan” was so beautiful lit up for the holidays with snow on the ground. It was imperative that I capture it in oil. “Windmill Island Nocturne” 12”x 16” oil on linen.
