Happy Thanksgiving

I genuinely care about my kids. I don't just coach a practice/ game and disappear. I care about their grades, other sports, their families, their dreams, and their challenges. Growing up isn't easy, especially these days. It's important to me to be a positive role model in the best way I know how, sports. All of my players have a piece of my heart❤️ It's so good to see Aiden out here again, recovered from a LONG injury, having a good time, learning some new skills and preparing for our new season, SOON!💪Thank you to his sweet Mom for making this post 🥰

We did a spontaneous Team building practice and I played our Seasonal Zombie Tag at the playground. My kids love it and I love seeing them have fun outside of Football. A random kid joined us and his Dad approached me and commended me on how I did that and how I am able to gather them instantly and then run a regular practice. He said he's never seen that before. He said usually Coaches are strictly football and that's a wrap and he notices most kids aren't smiling and don't seem very motivated. I love the feedback I recieve,it's everything I need to keep me going. I may not have my own program (yet) but every season, every sport I coach, I reach those kids and that's everything to me. I want to know I'm impacting them and making them and their parents proud.

Had to give my Middle School Team a lecture and followed up with parents this morning.
Kids thinking they're too good to work hard and too cool to participate.
I promised them all, there's talented kids everywhere and if they don't want to work hard and be Coachable, there's another player who will take their spot GUARANTEED!!

I have benched kids and cut kids for this at the High School level. I don't just Coach the game, I Coach youth to become great people and great athletes, with high morals and standards and great work ethic! 💯

Just my 2 cents on this fine Twosday. 2/22/22
I've discovered a way to use my life lessons and regrets to encourage the youth to chase their dreams and not let anyone steer them off their path.
Letting go of the regret is something I continue to work on.

Our past does not define who we are or what God is going to do in our future. Put your regrets from your past on the shelf. Give it to God. Our regrets have been covered with God’s mercy, grace, and love.

In Isaiah 43:18-19, God says, “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.”

Basketball clinic!!!! This week!!!!

This is all surreal for me at the moment. 6yrs of Coaching the youth..in 2020 I told myself that I would reach the youth, regardless of Covid. And I told those around me that's it,I've had enough, I'm not waiting anymore! I PRAYED FOR DOORS TO OPEN. I coached at CCS and now I've been given the opportunity to work with their Athletic program year round!
