Here in the Lehigh Valley, we rely on , and many of our residents also utilize when travelling to Philadelphia and when in the north. Public transit systems are SO important for us - let's keep them running well and funded properly!

House Bill 1776 proposes the creation of an Independent Redistricting Commission to draw maps for state House, state Senate and Congress and end in Pennsylvania. I am prime sponsoring this bill along with Rep. Mark Gillen, R-Berks. We have 43 bipartisan cosponsors so far -- and we're just getting started!

Congratulations to each of the 730 graduates who received degrees at Moravian University's 282nd Commencement today! And thank you to all the friends and family members who supported these grads on the journey!
Since the start of the program year in February our office has helped more than 800 households file their rebates, resulting in more than a half million dollars in property taxes being returned to our seniors, widows and widowers, and members of the disability community. The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) will host a job fair at the PennDOT Lehigh County office, 1712 Lehigh Street, Allentown, PA 18103 on Tuesday, May 7 from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM.
The event will include onsite interviews with job offers.
Those interested in a career with PennDOT are encouraged to attend the event to learn about the various opportunities available. District and county employees will be on hand to answer questions regarding employment and assist attendees with the application process.
PennDOT is looking to fill a variety of positions in the county, including CDL operators, highway maintenance workers, mechanics, and summer employees. Applicants should bring an updated copy of their resume. CDL operators also should bring their current driver’s license and medical card.

Today we had the opportunity to showcase Bethlehem's small businesses downtown to Mandy Book, Deputy Secretary of Pennsylvania's Department of Community and Economic Development. Although these are just a few, all of our small businesses are impressive. Let's support them all this National Small Business Week!
A great start to our Sunday! We celebrated Count Pulaski at Pulaski Park. Wreaths were laid in honor, and special greetings were offered by Anna Wanczyk, Vice Consul General; Consulate General of the Republic of Poland. You can see Pulaski’s banner-made for him after he was here in Bethlehem with the Moravians. Henry Wadsworth Longfellow commemorated it in a poem.
