The heat is on and the heat index is even worse. Drink plenty of fluids, water is recommended, maybe alternate water, Gatorade or Powerade. Stay away from soda, sugary juice and alcohol. Take breaks, get to shade if possible. Or better yet inside til it cools down some. Whatever you do pay attention to yourself and others, especially our elderly and young. Know the signs of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. If you suspect either call 911 immediately. Stay safe!
The 4th of July is almost here. The best way to watch fireworks safely is to go to a show put on by professionals. Fireworks cause thousands of injuries, and more than 38% of those are burns. For more tips on staying safe with fireworks, visit: http://nfpa.social/E13750Soq2g

Be safe out there so that everyone can have a fun Memorial Day!
Emma came by to visit the guys on Friday. She is a service dog in training. It is a good thing too, sitting in the classroom is kinda traumatic for us firefighters! 😎
Soooo much fun! Thank you 107.1 KNID - Today's Best Country for sponsoring the game, it’s always a blast!
Fourth Friday Firefighter with My Country 103.1 KOFM Oklahoma's Country, or as Clepper would say: Fourth Firefighter Freaky Funday Firefighter Friday Feature..... or something like that.... Its always entertaining to hang with Clepper and Kaylee! Oh and by the way, for all of you EPD officers that heard Alan talking trash, we saw him leave in the KOFM van! Just FYI 😉
Our EFD members wanted to send care packages to our two members that are deployed overseas. The guys pitched in and gave them things that they would like. One of our members asked No Man's Land Beef Jerky if they wanted to donate..... apparently they are big supporters of our fire department and the military! Thanks to everyone that helped. Be safe, and we look forward to you coming home soon fellas!
Our cadets did a good deed and helped this gent when he had a flat tire across the street from Station 1. He was very kind and bought them lunch from Chick-fil-A Enid! Good job fellas, and thank you Steve!
