New report finds potatoes worth $2.5 billion annually to Michigan - Spudman A new report authored by Michigan State University economists found that the potato industry generates $2.5 billion each year to the state’s gross domestic product.
USDA projection: Potatoes will account for 35% of US vegetable production by 2033:
Report: Potatoes projected to account for 35% of vegetable production by 2033 - Spudman U.S. production of vegetables and pulse crops is projected to grow 4% in the next decade, with potatoes expected to account for 20% of vegetable farm value by 2033, according to the USDA.

It's official!
Potato Expo 2024, which wrapped up Thursday in Austin, Texas, set participation records.
The 2,320 registered attendees broke the previous record of 2,019, set in 2020 in Las Vegas, according to the National Potato Council. The 216 exhibitors also broke the 2020 Las Vegas record of 189.
