This advertisement was designed, made and pinned to the Roosevelt post office bulletin board by 12 year C.S.A. member and volunteer Mr. Johnson of our home town of Roosevelt N.J. Working close to any farmer you will quickly know his goals and ideas. He knew how I felt about work shares but just did not have the time to put it together. Mr. Johnson grabbed the bull by the horns and just did it. When he surprised me and showed this to me it was everything I was aiming for, right on point. This is a classic example of volunteering your gift. Everyone is blessed and has a special gift . Thank you Ben Johnson for your important gift that can bless many who need this right now!
Before I became an Organic Farmer I did not like snakes. After many years at the farm you realize how important all snakes are including this endangered species of corn snakes. Now Mendies Farm LLC. provides a safe sanctuary and protection for all of nature’s fascinating creatures on our preserved farm forever.

Specialty Radicchio, Castelfranco type. Its amazing I have seen our plants actually move to the low vibes of the 808 drums! Reminder Winter/Spring C.S.A. Distribution tomorrow April 29, 2022.
At the Mendies Farm LLC. we do not till the soil, instead we are careful to protect all the living life beneath the soil. You can use what you have old cardboard, newspaper w**d fabrics, woodchips etc. The best part is when you uncover and find a clean w**d free bed ready to plant. “No Dig”
Minimum heat, minimum effort. Adding supplemental heat with local woodchips during the Winter months has made growing these Rainbow carrots possible and ready for harvest as a baby carrots, included in This Weeks Harvest!
Pioneering Four Seasons Farming using (renewable energy) supplemental heat . Supplemental heat during Winter months has made growing these Hakurei Turnips possible during weeks of temperatures in the teens (degrees). Members tomorrow’s distribution is living proof that Winter Farming in Central Jersey is sustainable and can make change on the way small farmers depend on foreign oil or gas. This Winter we have not used one drop of oil or gas to heat the farm and farmhouse. Thanks to Davey’s tree service and East Windsor township for supplying the farm with free woodchips. We are also developing a clean climate change initiative plan for the community to cut down on fossil fuels with the use of woodchip or other biomass. My research and development of our woodchip biomass burner burns much cleaner compared to fossil fuels and puts our community’s wood waste to work! Also it’s what makes us “First to Harvest” because Harvests never stops!

Needed to get the biomass fuel 15 feet up. A new 20 ft. elevator conveyor would have cost $10,000.00. Put this together for $400.00, notice our old farm market tables back in use. Even with the recent snow it’s nice to wake up to a warm greenhouse and see the conveyor automatically filling the woodchip bin hopper! Best part is it’s totally free. Get ready members we now have unlimited heat and starting all our new seeds. This year we will once again be first to harvest in this area so get on board today. .mendiesfarm.com
A peep inside our biomass woodchip combustion chamber where chips are ignited and burned to 3000 degrees. These systems can run fully automated. We are currently researching and developing a four Seasons farm using supplemental heat to grow fresh vegetables in the Wintertime!
Winter farming with no heat.
This Weeks Harvest will be a Tomato Jubilee. As Fresh as it Gets!
This homemade hydroponic system cost a little under $200.00, thanks to Groves Supply in Hightstown N.J. who wholesaled us the pipe for $7.00 each, plus I had a couple of old pumps laying around. This system has used no heat and has already experienced many night time lows below freezing. Had to keep the pumps running continuously to keep the water from freezing. It may be worth adding minimal heat as it gets even colder. But for now our inputs have been very low.
As the night time temperatures get colder our renewable biomass energy automatic hopper is working flawlessly. Mendies Farm LLC. leading Central Jersey to true Winter production of Naturally Grown food in the Winter. Now that’s Jerseyboy Farming. “As Fresh as it Gets”
Our Story
The Mendies Farm is a small, sustainable, four season farm using all natural growing techniques. We practice diversified natural growing methods including aquaponic, hydroponic, and protective cultivation. Primarily, we focus on our organic soil cultivation using natural composts in order to build the quality foundation for our produce. Working with the biodiversity of the farm, we carefully monitor our crops from seed germination through cultivation, and harvesting. Establishing a personal relationship between the customer and farmer allows us to educate our members of our natural and sustainable processes. Additionally, through volunteering, members see firsthand how he do NOT use herbicides, pesticides, and synthetic fertilizers on anything we grow at Mendies Farm!
