Back to work on the "Chillicothe Choo Choo."

We have been getting this room behind our garage into a working studio space. The original owner had it built for a lawn mower repair shop. With the door open in the mornings it has great natural light and has the feel of being outside. We have lots more to do, but we are enjoying the space.. Now we have room for small workshops and lessons!... Note...For our students coming today, we are still using the studio in the house.👍

We had our Saturday morning art class for two today at the studio. Kendra instructed how to paint this rooster and I showed how to sketch this barn scene. It was a good couple of hours painting, drawing and talking art.👍

"The Jump Off" 6x8" gouache on paper. I did this a couple of days ago. The spot I wanted to get to was too grown up, so I ended up in full sun using fast drying gouache was a challenge. I finished in the studio.

"The Lane Home" 6x8" gouache on paper. My Mother grew up at the end of this lane. That was in the 1930s during the great depression .. I can't Imagine how hard life was then. But, she had many great memories of living there. Note, the clump of trees on the left is an Indian mound. The sign on the pole says Warrior Country...
