I have 4 heifers that are coming 2 yr. This one of them that is fairly big bodied and very thick horn bases like her sire. She is a mini-me of one of my favorite cows. She is a great granddaughter of CV Cowboy Casanova and Shadowizm on the sire side and ST Smokeabull and Hunts High Lonesome on the dam side. This is WF Song of the West. Please message me if you might be interested in this girl.
So, as you can probably tell, I'm not great at facebook! My last post for Remington's Rebel included very old pictures and I didn't realize it until I had alread posted. I will post more current pictures. If anyone is interested in this cutie please message me. Nicky
This is WF Remington's Rebel. She is another almost 2 yr old that won her class last year at National Western Stock Show. She is a Tempter granddaughter and a Wi******er great granddaughter. She is halter trained! Sweet personality with a little feisty thrown in for good measure. She is ready to breed to the bull of your choice.

This is High Harmony. She is a Hunt's High Lonesome daughter out of KC Harmony. She has a nice little bull calf at side that was AI'ed from Tequila Sunrise. She is very docile, eat out of your hand and a good mother. She is looking for a new home. I am keeping several of her offspring because she is such a good producer. Just another "thanks to God"
The month of May 2.73 inches, June 1.43 and July so far .01 and possibility of rain today and night. I had to mow the area around the house three times so far. But.........as long as we get 1-2inches per month, I'll mow. Another surprise is that hay continues to go up even with balers working on their second/third baling. But I guess we all have to make money.
Good morning, Nicky and I are stepping out on another project, tanning hides and skulls. In our research there are so many approaches. We tanned two last year and have three in the freezer now. I'm searching for someone that has found the "way". We want too use as much of our longhorns as we can, not in the trash. I guess the word is "help". thanks
We have decided to put two of our young bulls on the market. We don't need 4 bulls in our pasture. First is X-Caliber as you can see is black and white and produces black/white. Her approaching 4 years old and measure 58 on 5/21. Second is Caballero Blanco. He is nearly 4 years old and a heavy body bull. Measured at 61 TTT 4/21.
Our first day at the Black Forest Farmer's Market. Met some great folks and sold some beef. We agreed to attend every other Saturday starting Jun 5th. There we some 60 vendors selling all kinds of item/food. Come visit the market. 9-1 ever Saturday.
Another great day in Colorado, well not the best due to the wind 30+. Well, I should not have said anything about have 3 heifers in a row heifer, heifer, heifer then the moon must have changed, bull, bull, bull, and this morning Cowgirl gave us, you guested it a bull. Yes we need bulls and they are so cute and soft; but 4. Yes, cute they all are. We believe we have 5 possibilities to go,all the way to mid-May. Here are the new additions to the ranch: (notice ear tags pink and blue)
Besides the new calves, we want to thank God for the moisture we one the eastern plains have gotten so far this year. A little over or under a foot of snow. Three time last year already. We have real mud in the corrals and pastures. I've had to find my mud boots, even have to remove my jeans in the garage before entering the house. We had about 1/4 inch over night.
Before I close, let us pray for the families of those lost in Boulder. Now watch the Dems run for our guns. But we must pray for our country and the Boulder police officer's family. But here is a question: would a person with a "legal" concealed weapon had reduced the deaths?
Good morning folks, hope all is well wherever you are. This is Nicky's favorite time of the year with the cows, due to calves being born! She can hardly wait to go down to the pasture everyday to check for new babies. We have had 2 babies so far, but look forward to more daily. It is so much fun to see what colors we find when we check them. These are our first to heifers, of course born during our snowiest time of year!
