Good Evening Falcon Parents,
It has been my absolute privilege to have been a small part of your childrens' educational career. I'm forever blessed to be a Garza Falcon. I don't have words to express how much of an impact this community has had on me personally and professionally. All I can say is thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Thank you for all that you have done to support our teachers and staff this week. Please continue to honor the hard work that they do, day in and day out, with your children.

BISD Teacher and Paraprofessional of the Year Ceremony 2024!

We posted a live video of us playing at Garza Elementary yesterday. We were surprised to see how many people this school has made an impact on. Many people shared our video and left comments.

We are not politically informed. Nor do we want to be involved in picking sides in these types of matters. We just love to play music and perform. Regardless of opinions, all we can say is that yesterday was such a beautiful moment. We can genuinely say that these kids have been our best crowd yet. (For many reasons) They sang their hearts out and were very excited. Some kids even had microphones and were singing along as if they were on the stage themselves.

All we can think about is how just as them…we were all kids once. As kids who grew up wanting to play music, we also have memories in our head of seeing groups play at our schools when we were kids. For some reasons those memories stay with you.

These kids will remember this and hopefully those that want to pursue music as their career can remember this moment and be motivated to dream big.

There is no dream big enough that has not been achieved before. It all starts with your desire to want it. If you believe it, you can achieve it.

If you have a dream…chase it because that dream ain’t gonna chase you back.

Garza Elementary Career Day 2024. Thank you to Mr. Whittemore for coordinating such an amazing event for our 4th and 5th grade students. Thank you to Gloria I. Chavez, Chief Border Patrol Agent for the Rio Grande Valley Sector and former Garza Falcon, for speaking to our students. Thank you to Homeland security and HSI Marine Sector, Brownsville Police Department, Cameron County Sheriff's office, Brownsville Fire Department, US Border Patrol, TSC, BISD Technology Dept, and RGV Cosmetology School for speaking with our students about you careers.

Thank you to Mr. Mariano "Bean" Ayala for being our Principal for the Day. Mr. Ayala is the Executive Director for Habitat for Humanity RGV. He also been the Executive Director with the Boys and Girls Club as well as Ronald Mcdonald House Charities. We know that his work with the community and non profit organizations has impacted many people. We are thankful to him for taking the time come and speak to our students.

Lopez Cluster Elementary schools will be meeting at Garza on Monday with 5th grade parents and students to discuss Middle School Transition and programs of study. Please join us!
