The 1970 left our shop, damaged during transport, we flew in to the D to fix the car, 10 days of fixing and cussing! With lots of GRIT we finished it! August is almost here, this week we are going to prime the 70 Mach1. It has been 🔥! Cleaned the shop, washed vehicles, going to covering them, and taping off the 70 for HOK primer KP2CF. (the good stuff). By this Friday the paint will be completed!

Shop news: Temps are low enough to paint so the 69 Cougar gets painted this week,Mark is getting his SATA gun ready. The steering wheel is refurbished, the body lines and gaps are on point, so its time. 67 Cougar Client wanted a lumbar foam added to the original seat so that was done. Great that Fall is here: Everyone show them pics we want to send out some swag with a SodaBeers! I actually love these there all natural, bought some and want to share a few, they started in 1964 when the Mustang was debuted.
Next project for us? 66 Fastback! A bird flew in the office, a scorpion came in, it must be close to Halloween 🎃 👻 ! Post those Pictures!

The Mercury Cougar Club, classic 1967-1970 MUSTANG HEAVEN

Well, we are almost done. This was the rustiest car we have ever taken on. Theres a few pictures of more progress and a few pics to show where this project began. It has been a long hot summer and look forward to Fall! What are you currently working on?

What a week 110 degrees🥵 plus each day. Today is 118 on tap.
Mark has checked my work on the 69 and of coarse got me back at it, (missed a spot or 2),this will be the last time it looks like this! 😣 Next picture it will be painted.
Marks J code is started, yet issue with the carb, so we are playing, "WTF" with it! 😵‍💫

What a great start to the week! The magic arrived today, this paint job on the 69 Cougar is going to be awesome. I finished the body work and Mark finished cleaning up the intake manifold.
The 67 Cougar owner needed his AT shifter bushings and slider,P/S hose, radiator replaced and we await his upholstery to arrive yet he is driving for now.
Marks J code is on the hoist for the first time in 18 years everything ready to fire yet dealing with gas tank and other things before fire up.
My car is just sitting waiting to be driven I started it up this am with coffee.

What a week it was: The final bodywork was finished on the 69 Cougar, time to push in the shop, the black primer from Speedokote will lay like butter. Then we have our favorite Paint With Pearl hologram Aqua Flakes to make this ride POP!
Mark has been working on intake, distributor rebuild, cleaning up parts for the 69.
Slider, Power steering hose replacement, shifter rod, bushings for AT shifter all done for 67 Cougar. I fixed the steering wheel, emblems, and now we wait for upholstery that we were informed shipped yet guess what? It hasn't, some of these companies these days act like they don't value there customers....
Marks new radiator arrived today and after 18 years his all original, first car will be back in action! J code! I am starting up my 67 Fastback to take out with him and his car.

Wow its been a great week :Mark is reconnecting all the wires for his radio and reinstalling his console on his 68 J code, he awaits the new radiator to fire this up after 18 years:
Mark worked on a Cougar: had to rebuild an AT shifter, change radiator, awaiting power steering hose.
I began breaking down the seat frames and restoring them so the new foam can go on, waiting on upholstery, I then began sanding on the prime job that Mark put on, working on any and all blemishes for the next and final prime (with Blk primer).
We then began the engine block initial grunge clean up, pistons and rods laid out, it has been busy and still kept my nails in tack😆.

Mark has been itching to do something with this 70 Mach1 M codes for decades and well its about time to restore it...Black Jade, 4 speed....in the meantime his personal 68 J code will be on the road soon, its got all options, even cruise control!
However now its "Prime Time" for the 69 Cougar "Bertha" owned by RJ Mitte of Breaking Bad.
All this as the temps are on the rise and its NOT even summer yet.
