Hey!!! Fellow Bookworms!!! What book is your absolute favorite (any genre) that you always recommend to anyone who asks...because I'm asking? If you are like me you can list more than one. I can never do just one or five or thirty. LOL.

Do you ever feel that you just don't have enough time in the day to get things done? I do for sure. I feel for the parents with small children who have so much running around to do every day on top of their full time jobs, cooking meals, spending quality time with the family, etc. That is exactly why I'm mobile. In the early years as a massage therapist, I was finding a lot of clients who came to the spas I was working in being stressed about picking up their kids on time to get to the next appointment or whatever time crunch they were running towards. That's why I decided I would take my relaxation to them. Meet them where they are. One less thing they need to worry about without sacrificing the bodywork we all need. If you feel like you are strapped for time to get your massages in, fear not...there are many of us massage therapists who are mobile. (Although selfishly, I hope you reach out to me.) Growing up I knew I always wanted to be an actress. I went to college and studied and got my degree in theater arts. That was my passion. Period. No minoring in anything. I just knew that’s what I wanted to do.

Then it came time to start a family. As I was searching for ways to make money without compromising being at home with children I was fortunate enough to think and almost predict that massage would allow me everything I wanted in “freedom” with a job.

I went to a friend’s bachelorette party which was at a spa. I spent my entire massage time quizzing the therapist about how she got started, what kind of hours she worked, etc.

The following week I was enrolled in a school that would become a second home to me. I attended Cal COPA Massage School for a year. I was working full time at my day job and doing my improvisation comedy with my group on weekends. I would attend the school in the evenings during the week. I never thought I would have a competition for my acting goals until I started massaging.

I fell madly in love with the art of touch. I loved learning everything about our bodies. I loved learning about the different modalities used in different parts of the world.

This led me to where I am now. I am still loving my job as a therapist. I do miss my acting at times but I feel fulfilled in my choice to pursue this career.
