💦 a song of, by and for the waters 💦 This came to me when @7estrela chose the theme of Mother Water for our livestream interview sometime in 2021 or 2022… feels like a long time ago! (As a note I was unable to edit the caption beginning… it starts with “mother water”) As we commune with the waters of this earth, way we remember to hold them sacred and honor them through our words and actions. The sacred waters in this video are flowing at South Gate meadow on Mount Shasta, CA. 🙏🏼 I have been grateful to have been nourished many years at Lago Atitlán, so I personally want to uplift @water4lifeglobal — they are doing very important work bringing clean water solutions to the communities there. Blessings for this Summer Solstice ✨ here is a clip from “Reciprocity” recorded raw in the Grove of Old Trees with @cristiekileydesign last month 🌿 This song Carrie’s a prayer that is so much greater than me and my life, and I am so honored and in awe sometimes that I get to share it through my vessel this way. I pray for all beings to wake up to reciprocity and right relationship in ever exponential layers so we can truly thrive and co-create a better world. As a final thought… I was recently reminded that reciprocity is not just about giving back. It is about relationship. It is also about giving FIRST. What would that be like, to remember to give first? To give first even without expectation? For some of us, this requires more unraveling and relearning… So I will sing this song till it resonates so deeply in my bones that my whole life is in integrity with right relationship. The first time I sang with a drum I felt the earth open beneath me. A part of “me”… something so old and ancient… was pouring forth. Nearly cultures have a relationship with drumming, rhythm and vocalization that does not necessarily correlate to spoken “language”. You might say the language is in the melody, or in the space between the breath, or in the listening beyond the sound. And yes, some melodies were passed down… But where did they come from originally? They were gifted. They were channeled. They were revealed to those who listened, who bridged the world of spirit and form through sound. And when one touches this kind of vocalization, there can certainly be grief for the woes of colonization & modernization. What has been lost, taken. What rites and rituals we have forgotten or in some cases, were forbidden or cause for murder. The exile (willing or unwilling) of a peoples from their land and the subsequent paradigm shift in identity and loss of orientation… When we journey into ancestral vocalization we must be prepared to feel this grief. As well as a profound, grief-entangled joy. The joy of saying… yes, I belong. I may not know the names of these well ancestors but they are re-membered and re-membering me as I sing. I belong to a people. I belong to this earth. I belong in this galaxy. I belong to myself — my own body, my own voice. All Creation is my family. This kind of ancestral vocalization requires intimacy with your instrument, trust, and surrender. This asks you to let go of your attachments to judgments or stories of whether your voice is worthy or not and simply open to the longing to be whole. Open wider, deeper, further than before. And allow. Listen and allow. Witness. Allow. Sing yourself home. For all your relations. You are held by the Ones whose voices sing through you and to you, they are singing with you the ancient songs your bones remember. And perhaps you will find that, when you leave this

Full Moon in Pisces, retrogrades, moon time, feels. This song has danced its way into my world again lately, seemed fitting for the moment. Moving through portals. Headed to see family in NJ tomorrow for 10 days, going to connect with the land that raised me and my blood family. Looking forward to dipping my feet in the Atlantic Ocean and singing under the grandmother oak of my childhood. 🙏🏼

On this day I create myself 🎶 This song came to me one afternoon in Guatemala as I pondered something a teacher had said. When you wake up, before your mind begins to identify itself with familiar patterns of thought and action, there is a space of possibility.. an opportunity to choose who we are each day & how we identify ourselves.. Lately I have been very present with that moment. What also feels relevant to share right now is the line “I know that I can heal with the love that I feel” For after all, our cultivation of Love woven into the fabric of our mind-body-spirit is one of the most healing actions we can take throughout our lives. 🎶 Wake up and sing 🎶 I’ve been taking action on my desire for the kind of life I’m wanting to live and share, and it feels so good. I am giving myself to a supportive morning practice that includes 🌟 sitting meditation 🌟 breathwork 🌟 chanting 🌟 speaking prayers for the day 🌟 yoga asana 🌟 chakra toning 🌟 Glowing Heart Ah of gratitude! 🌟 cacao + microdose 🍄 🌟 song There was a time I did this (most of it) much more regularly & I have been needing it so much I was looking for it in so many places except.. well, within me and within my domain of agency. (Lesson learned! Don’t be codependently seeking for others to bring the magic for you, Diana… you actually already carry the medicine.) So today as I was preparing cacao a little ditty came into my head and my intuition said - play with me! So I got on the Acapella app & imperfectly—joyously—threw paint on the sonic canvas, as it were. Isn’t life more exciting when we let ourselves play and enjoy? I honestly think that this kind of non-attached improvisation has been one of the most important parts of my soul voice reclamation & creative healing journey.. One of the parts I love about this app is it’s like hanging out with myself. Even if I’m not able to gather with others, I’m loving singing with me! We have a silly time sometimes 🥰 My dream continues to be that I can wake up & pray & sing every day. Healing yourself with your voice. Learning how to allow & articulate your inner landscape through your sound.
