"North Carolina Senate Republicans approved Monday hundreds of millions of dollars in additional funding for private school vouchers and voted to require local sheriffs to cooperate with federal immigration officials as part of a $1.1-billion budget agreement with the House." Public Schools First NC is devastated about this vote. We have advocated for the last TEN years against this misuse of our public schools. We urge you to speak up against this action and just us in advocating for one unified public education system - fully funded per Leandro - that accepts all children regardless of their demographics, their learning needs, their religion and on and on. We are truly heartbroken.
