Florida Lady ACES… Tonight @ 6:30pm, we are finally getting back into the Gym. We will be there from 6:30-8pm at Port Charlotte Middle.

First off, we sincerely hope everyone in Southwest Florida is doing well, as we know many are still recovering and dealing with the after effects of Hurricane Ian. Contrary to anything said, the Florida ACES Basketball & Lady ACES are still here. We just felt it was most important for everyone to focus on their Families and personal matters, because we knew basketball would be waiting on us.

So, with that being said, there will be many announcements and updates on our page in the coming weeks about the season including but limited to tryouts, practice time/location, Camps, Game Schedules and a lot more.

And to kick things off tomorrow @ 6:30pm

4th AND 6th Grade Boys will be in the Gym tomorrow night for Tryouts to get us going.

Great Morning Everyone!

It was Great to wake up to some Great News for our High School Teams this Spring, but it will also benefit some of our MS players that are talented enough to play up! Our Florida Lady Florida ACES Basketball Program has been extended, signed & accepted the Opportunity to play on the Prep Girls Hoops (PGH) Circuit! Also, our Florida ACES Boys should be finalizing their spot in the coming days/weeks. We are also confirming more Regional & National Circuit Events in the coming weeks!

This is about doing what we have been doing in SW Florida (Crystal River to Naples) for FREE, for years and that is just providing Opportunities to those Families & Kids that Trust and Believe in us. We know we are not for everyone, but for those that we are for, know that we are working behind the scenes to make sure we do what it takes for your Son and/or Daughter to have the opportunity to achieve their High School and prayerfully their College Dreams!

This has been a long process that started started years ago, but it’s Great to see what The Man Upstairs, God, is doing for our ACES Family!

Every day that God Blesses me is Amazing, but today is a little extra Special in our Florida ACES World, especially for our Lady ACES.

We have some Ladies that have been working behind the scenes for over a year. Some that just joined us. Some that’s been with us the 3 years we have been doing Girls. Some only being able to play in Tournaments with Boys due to the lack of Girls Events, well not this weekend! Today, we are playing our 4/5th (two 3rd Graders), 7th Grade & 8th Grade Girls at the Big House!

*6th, 7th (Black) in January & HS in Spring!

This was never in my plan, but like Grandma & Mom use to always tell me, it’s not about my plan but what God has in his plan for me! Yes, I’m a , but this was never just about My Daughter, because I could’ve taken her to play just about anywhere, she’s that Good. This was about the assignment that I felt God gave me and that was to restore the Joy, Love, Passion, Competitiveness, Respect, Fun & again Love back to Girls Basketball In SW Florida and I’m just trying to do my part and make my Heavenly Father Proud!

And I’m soooo glad God sent me on this journey with My Brothers, Mel Riley, Deshon Jenkins, Jimmy Innocent, Jose Gonzalez, Jose Mendoza, Romon, Edwin Moses, Zack Metts, Lou, Jerry Beals, Perry Lopez, Craig Wiley and all of the other ACES Coaches & Team Moms.

We are JUST getting started in this Girls Basketball Game. We will give the Girls (3rd-HS) from Tampa to Naples a reason to stay in SW Florida, play Competitive BasketBall, compete against the Best and have the Opportunity to be Successful in HS & College ❤️🏀🖤

Wow… It is that time of the Year for our Boys!

The years continue to go by soooo quickly, as they get older, but we enjoy this time of the Year each and every year.

God, we pray for Protection over our Young Men. We pray for Favor over their Lives & Situations. We pray for their Moms & Dads. We pray for Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles & Families. We pray for their Coaches & Staff. We pray for Unity within their Teams/Programs. We pray for their Teachers. We pray they remain focused, not just on the Court, but MORE IMPORTANTLY in the Classroom. We pray that they have Fun. We pray they keep their joy for the Game & FOR LIFE …but above ALL, we pray that our Young Men continue to put you FIRST and always acknowledge you, so that you can direct their paths.

Sooo, Good Luck to all of our Florida ACES Basketball Young Men as you Tryout today. So, whether you are at Port Charlotte, Charlotte, North Port, Victory Rock, Lehigh, Riverview, Venice, Tampa Catholic, Kathleen, Cardinal Mooney, Gateway Charter, Palmetto, North Carolina or wherever know that your ACES Family is always behind you. Because though you wear our Red & Black (and now your school colors), it’s not the color of the jersey you wear that makes you Family, it’s what you mean to us that make you FAMILY ❤️🏀🖤.

So, Class of 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025, our College Kids and even those kids we have competed against over the years (you made us better), Good Luck at Tryouts today, represent, play hard, compete and show them the Florida ACES WAY!

Great Morning Lady ACES Class of 2025!

Good Luck to all of you that will be participating in High School Basketball Tryouts TODAY/this week! We pray for your STRENGTH, both physically & mentally❤️🏀🖤

3 years ago, we never thought we would get involved in Girls Travel Basketball, but then you came along and were our 1st Class. 2 of you walked into the Gym and started working out with the Boys. One of you being My Daughter (2026) & the other being a Young Lady that had been told she wasn’t that Good (trash was the word shared with me) & she wanted to quit the Game. But man were they wrong, again! We poured Love & Encouragement into her and I tell you, she turned out to be Amazing. One of the most Athletic and skilled players around. I even believe, as a Freshman, she may get a shot at some point to contribute to her Varsity Team (and not just a regular Varsity Team, but that Team is coming off of a State Final 4 appearance). Then a 3rd Young Lady showed up, one that had jump around and we were her 4th Team, because most said she/her Family was full of drama, but what they didn’t take the time to do is just learn that because of her history/family dynamics you have to Love her different and stronger! Then a set of Twins showed up and ABSOLUTELY stole my heart and brought a light & love to our Family! They have been told they were not the fastest or biggest and been pushed aside some due to politics of sports, but Gosh can they play the Game of Basketball at a High Level. They are My Favorite Twins and they are Fantastic Ladies! Next we had this short fireball show up that was all over the place, but she learned to slow down and lead this Team. Her smile, positive energy & will power were contagious. Then you had this Lady from deep in Sarasota/Bradenton that definitely lacked confidence, because she was never given a fair shake and she ended up being a key player off the bench that brought sooo much heart when she played! She fought bigger and more skilled Girls with the heart of a Champion, because what we learned is that is what she is. And then there was this other little short lady that showed up and limped her way through most Games but her drive wouldn’t let her stop or give up. And she ended up being one of the Best shooters you will see with a never quit attitude. Then there was this Lady that has since fallen in love with Volleyball (not pictured), but she showed up every day and never quit. She finished what she started and that ended up being the culture of our Team! Finally, there was this Lady that tip toed into the gym, because she didn’t want to be there to be honest. Her other Coaches had told her everything she couldn’t be & shouldn’t do. She came from an environment that beat her up more mentally than anything (which is the worst abuse one can have). But what we saw was the more Love & Encouragement you gave her, the better she not only played, but you got to see the Real her, which is this Happy, Loving & Energetic Young Woman!

So, you put all of them together, flaws and all, and you have our 1st Class of Florida Lady ACES Basketball (2025). They took on some of the Best Girls Basketball Programs Florida/GA have to offer. They lost some and they won some, but whatever they did, they did TOGETHER. NEVER ONCE turning on each other!

To the tune of a 2021 National Championship ❤️

So, when you hear someone say or spread words/rumors about the Florida ACES taking players, don’t believe it. What we do is TAKE Players that some give up on, don’t talk to because they changed/left your Team, belittle and doubt, then we give them the Love, Support, Encouragement and “FAMILY” Culture that we stand for & believe in and that pulls out & turns them into the Champions that God has created them to be! So, if you keep knocking these kids/Families for what they can’t do, we will keep TAKING them and giving them the FAMILY that we all want. Just don’t be mad or cry foul when we do something with them and bring out the Champion in them that you couldn’t ❤️FAMILY🖤

So again, Ladies, Great Luck today, as your younger Lady ACES Sisters and the rest of Our Florida ACES FAMILY is behind, rooting and cheering for you all to Succeed😘
