When Kevin asked me to photograph his proposal to Dora, I was beyond excited! This is one of my absolute favorite things to capture. With the help of my daughter and her boyfriend, we set up everything Kevin had planned, and as the sun began to set, we anxiously awaited their arrival, hoping Dora would make it to the beach after getting all dressed up. And guess what? It worked perfectly! Congratulations to the happy couple! Here's to a lifetime of love and laughter, Kevin and Dora! 💍✨

I had to stop during my marathon editing session to share a few of my favorite images from Sean & Kayla's happy tears and laughter-filled wedding at The Barn at Oleander over the weekend. There will be many more coming soon!

Tomorrow's the big day when these two lovebirds say 'I do'! 💕 I'm double-checking my gear, lining everything up just right, because capturing their special moments is my delight! Can't wait to freeze their love in time through my lens tomorrow at The Barn at Oleander!

As an artist and Mom, capturing Sloane's senior photos was really important to me. It was also a whirlwind of joy and surprises! 🌅✨ During this part of her photo shoot, as she gracefully slipped into a stunning red dress against the backdrop of a breathtaking sunset by our lake, life threw in an unexpected twist. 🚴‍♂️ Just as we were soaking in the beauty of the moment, a passerby on his bicycle paused, and to our amusement, serenaded us with 'Lady in Red' from his phone! 🎶❤️ It was a quirky yet heartwarming reminder of the little moments that make memories so precious.

Immerse yourself in the depths of our extraordinary underwater senior photo shoot with this behind-the-scenes video and the final images! My daughter Sloane, the ocean-loving mermaid who has practically grown up amidst the waves. Guided by the skilled safety diver Steve Anton, she learned the art of using SNUBA gear to remain gracefully anchored to the pool floor, capturing these breathtaking images for her senior photos. The session was a fusion of passion, skill, and adventure, culminating in stunning photos that not only showcase the beauty of underwater photography but also reflect the spirited essence of my mermaid muse. 🌊📸

Here is a throwback memory of a beautiful highlight from the COVID-19 epidemic... We were all at home, had discovered a baby opossum in my living room and I had all the free time in the world to create, instead of the relentless pursuit of the almighty dollar. During that time I made so much art. I even finished writing a yet-to-be-illustrated children's book! This creative opportunity was near and dear to my heart and published in Gothesque Magazine.

How cool is this? My daughter is graduating from high school this year, so we absolutely NEEDED to capture epic photos to celebrate this milestone moment! Enter our friend Steve Anton who is always ready for an underwater adventure. Sloane already has an excellent breath hold, but Steve helped bring this photoshoot to another level with his SNUBA setup and taught her all the hand signals she would need to communicate underwater to signal him as her safety diver. I'd like you to please stay tuned for these images. They're AWESOME!

I don't usually share landscape images, but these images I am so excited about these images I captured during a trip to Georgia, that I had to share them. Every time I visit, I fall in love with everything the state offers just a little bit more!

For Halloween, my daughter bought some colored contacts to experiment with but the consensus was that we preferred her almost black eyes over gray, blue, hazel, and pink.

She decided she preferred in her words 'the galaxy eyes' she'd been born with. I asked her where that term came from and she told me " Someone once told me that my eyes are so dark that when they look into them, they think they should see stars."

That statement bolsters my belief that Gen Z is still the lovebugs I've always believed them to be. I look forward to seeing how much they will change our world! 💕

Wisteria Dreams is a soft yet diverse series created by Sun & Salty Air Photography for The Delicate Cultivation of Darkness. In this image, love and hinted heartbreak showcases the lighter, graceful side of Gothesque. The models Sloane and Ryan are being emulated amid purple wisteria and lavender and green colors, adding a dreamy sensation to it. This tranquil visual emotes both tenderness and tender pain.
