Donald Trump Told Me Disabled Americans "Should Just Die" 24/07/2024

As a wheelchair user and advocate for disability rights, I’ve seen firsthand the importance of having leaders who truly care about and support all individuals, regardless of their abilities. I am appalled (but not surprised) to learn that Donald Trump suggested that people with severe disabilities should just die to save money. This callous attitude shows a complete lack of compassion and understanding for the struggles faced by millions of Americans. We need a President who values every life and works towards inclusive policies that support all families. Let’s stand together and vote for a leader who truly cares. https://time.com/7002003/donald-trump-disabled-americans-all-in-the-family/?fbclid=IwZXh0bgNhZW0CMTEAAR2w9RRqazexIm92WxTwyGrvWBf2eysAwyWgfT2P-qoh_ARXMOSz-6BLXmc_aem_0pXWDIvF5yZ4g8CRwapZSQ

Last night, I attended an incredible concert, but my experience was overshadowed by the inequity of the seating arrangements for people with disabilities. Despite purchasing a ticket for accessible seating, my view was obstructed by the seats in front, making it difficult to fully enjoy the show.

This is a common issue for many of us who rely on accessible seating options. It’s frustrating and unfair that we pay the same price for tickets but receive a significantly worse experience.

Concert venues need to evaluate and improve accessible seating locations for unobstructed views and consult with disability advocacy groups to understand patrons' needs.

I urge venues to take immediate action to ensure everyone can enjoy live music without unnecessary barriers. Let's push for better accessibility and equal enjoyment for all!

Feeling disheartened by the recent decision to scrap NYC’s congestion pricing plan. This move puts critical accessibility projects in our transit system at risk. Accessibility is a fundamental right, not a luxury. Let’s work together to ensure inclusive infrastructure investments that benefit all New Yorkers.

., ♿️ riders must not be deprioritized. We are not second-class citizens—we pay taxes to support public transit too. Full access is our right. It’s a basic and urgent need.

I understand the concerns of those opposing congestion pricing & appreciate 's decision to pause the toll. I hope this leads to a solution where ♿️ commuters can rely on primary funding rather than contingency funding.

Watch my comments on CH2 News NY: I applaud inclusion efforts by the Metropolitan Transportation Authority but let’s also ensure systems support those affected during improvements. Contingency plans that are inclusive matter too.
