Mrs. Mung’s Academic Reading and Composition (ARC) classes celebrated the end of the school year, as the last day of school is TOMORROW!!! 🤩😜

As the school year is coming to a close, we wanted to say thank you to our Team LA staff! From helping with college applications to taking students to escape rooms, our staff have done their best to help our small community academically, emotionally, and socially! 🌟🦋🌱

We want to highlight and thank our 2021-2022 Dorm Council! They’ve really been a huge help to our campus community this year, whether it’s organizing recycling or organizing boba tea parties! ⭐️

Our Dorm Council has monthly meetings where they discuss any issues they’ve noticed and they try to come up with tangible solutions! ✅

We continued our end of the year celebrations with a Graduation Party! ✨ We celebrated our seniors and 8th grade students with food and games! 🥳

We started off Senior Celebrations with a fancy dinner in Los Angeles last Friday! We took our seniors on a limo ride to Craft, an upscale restaurant in the city and we briefly visited the Los Angeles County Museum of Art! 🍽🌟

As we get closer to the end of the ‘21-‘22 school year, we’d like to recognize some of our students’ academic achievements! A few of our students were inducted into the National Honor Society, as well as being awarded Undergraduate Awards by their school. 🎉

Counting down the days till summer vacation! 🤩💛🏄‍♂️

This past Saturday, we had COLOR WARS ⚡️ our five advisory groups competed against each other in a field day full of various games and activities! 💗💜💙❤️💚

At Amerigo, we value taking care of our communities through volunteering! Our most recent volunteering activities have been creating laundry kits for Project Ropa, an organization that aims to provide people experiencing homelessness with hygiene supplies and other important necessities in the Los Angeles area.

We also have recently gone to clean up litter around our local Rocketship Park and around the Palos Verdes cliffs!

We finished off Spring Break with horseback riding in the beautiful trails of Palos Verdes! 🐴🌾

Over Spring Break, students got to visit the University of California, Irvine, one of the top public universities in the US! The tour was led by two of our own Resident Assistants who are alumni of the school!

Fun Fact: UCI’s official mascot is Peter the Anteater! Zot Zot Zot!

We had a BERRY good time at Knott’s Berry Farm this past week! 🫐🍓🎢

Spring Break = Beach Days 🤩⛱

Just got back from sunny San Diego! ☀️ We stayed in San Diego overnight for two days and got to explore the city, go to the beach, and visit the San Diego Zoo! 🦋🏖

We kicked off Spring Break 2022 with a Dodgers game and a WIN! ⚾️🌟

This past weekend, students were able to go see the LA Galaxy edge out the Portland Timbers 2-1 on a late penalty kick.
