👷 Happy Labor Day!

Today is the last day of the season, so be sure to stop by the pool one last time between 11 am to 8 pm. Thank you so much to our staff, board, volunteers, swimmers and members who made the 2024 season one of the best ones yet!

✏️ 🍎 It’s that time of year again which means we have updated our hours for the remainder of the season starting today!

Our updated hours for the 2024 season will be:

Monday — Thursday
Lap Swimming: 6 am – 8 am
Open: 4 pm – 8 pm

Friday
Lap Swimming: 6 am – 8 am
Open: 4 pm – 9 pm

Saturday
Open: 11 am – 9 pm

Sunday
Open: 12 – 8 pm

🎬 As of today, we’re still planning on our final Family Movie Night of the season with The Greatest Showman! Of all the movies in the poll, this received an overwhelming majority of votes and it should be a great movie to watch and sing along with on Saturday night at 7:30pm!

We are closely watching the weather due to Hurricane/Tropical Storm Debby, and as we did with Lego Batman we will hold off canceling for as long as possible. Please keep an eye on your email for any updates!

UPDATE for 8/9: Due to the continued inclement weather, morning swim is canceled for tomorrow (8/9). We will evaluate conditions in the morning to determine if we’re able to open at some point on Friday.

Due to the rain today, Peakland will be closed.

🎬 We are planning to have our adults-only (21+) movie night featuring Jaws this Friday, August 2, but we need your help! Due to the amount of work that is required to put this on, we would like to make sure there is enough interest.

We will make the call on Thursday morning if we will continue to have the event as planned.

Thank you so much, Emma Kate, for being a part of the Peakland Pool team for 10 years! Over the last decade, she has worn many hats at the pool: from being a swimmer, lifeguard, coach, and manager. As many of you know, Emma Kate recently hung up her whistle and headed off to her next adventure. She will truly be missed, and we wish her luck in her future endeavors!

We are very excited to welcome Caroline into the role of pool manager. Caroline is a familiar face to many of those who call Peakland Pool home, due to the various roles she has filled over the years. Please be sure to congratulate her the next time you are at the pool!

With the storms that have started and continue to come this way, we’re going to close until 4pm when the weather should clear up. If something changes and we need to revisit, we’ll let you know!

The swim meet will be a home meet, so the pool will be closed to members and guests today at 4pm.

Due to the weather forecast tonight, we are going to postpone movie night to tomorrow night (Saturday) at 7:30 PM.

We had great feedback from our last movie night and we’re going to try it again! On Friday, July 12 (tomorrow) at 7:30 pm we will be showing Lego Batman, which was another popular choice from our prior vote.

This time, instead of popcorn we will have the Snack Shack open for snack/ice cream/drink purchases (no hot food). You are also welcome to bring your own snacks and drinks - just remember to not bring glass containers.

Guests are welcome to join in on the fun with a member and guest passes can be used for this event. We can't wait to see you there!

Unfortunately the rain/thunderstorms are not going anywhere so we are closing the pool for the remainder of the day.

We are so excited to celebrate with everyone from 12-2pm TODAY!

We will have games for all ages, as well as an ice cream sundae bar starting at 1:30. We will supply the ice cream and thank you to the members who have helped provide the toppings!

As a reminder, WE WILL BE CLOSING AT 6pm so our staff can celebrate with their friends and families.

Celebrate Independence Day at the Pool!

We’re looking forward to our annual 4th of July pool party! We will be celebrating this coming Thursday from 12pm - 2pm!

We will have games for all ages, as well as an ice cream sundae bar starting at 1:30! We will supply the ice cream and if you can, please check the Signup Genius (https://peaklandpool.us17.list-manage.com/track/click?u=832dff4b93dcfe756bdf29865&id=329476e070&e=3264827810) to help us out with all the favorite toppings!

Please drop off the goods by the check-in table anytime after 11am. Don't worry about packing your lunch either, the Snack Shack will be open and running a hot dog and fries special for $7 or upgrade it to a chili dog for $7.50.

Same drill, we will provide the burgers and dogs along with lemonade and water. You can check out the information below and sign up (bit.ly/4aLT40K) to help us with the sides, desserts, and drinks! Just remember, NO GLASS!

The price is the same, $5 per person or $25 max per family! Thank you so much and let's start this summer off right!

Adults-Only Night:

As a reminder, our first adult only pool night for the 2024 season will be THIS Saturday, June 1st at 7pm! The band 3 Days Notice will be back, they have played the last two years and we are psyched to have them open the pool up for us this season! If you missed this last summer, make sure you book your babysitter now or make it a guys or girls night!! Come out and enjoy a fun night of music, dancing if you are feeling it and bring your own drinks and food, the snack shack will be closed! Just please remember, NO GLASS!! Also, if you want to bring camping chairs because I know we are limited on number of tables and adirondacks, please feel free!!

The pool will shut down at 6pm, everyone will need to leave the pool, even if you are planning to come to the party. We will open the gate back up at 645 for any ADULT, you must be over 21 years old to attend. This will be open for guests again, but they will be required to pay a $5 cover per person and sign in under a member's name. (no guest passes will be used, this is just to make sure that guests do know a member.)

UPDATE: Power has been restored and we will be open during our regular hours on 5/28

We will be closed today due to a power outage 😕

The storm last night, though short, knocked out power in parts of Burnt Bridge Road, along with neighboring streets. The pool lost power and unfortunately, it has not been restored yet. At this time, the power company estimates restoration of power to be tomorrow evening. Unfortunately, we are unable to open today, but we will keep you updated as to when we can reopen for our normal schedules, and will let you know about a make up date for the cookout. Please keep an eye on your email for that information!

Thank you to everyone who RSVPed for the cookout, we will send out another link for the make up date as well once we have that confirmed. We hope you all have a wonderful Memorial Day honoring and remembering all of those who have served.

In honor of the pool officially being open and summer beginning, we will be having our Annual Memorial Day Cookout on Monday, May 27th from Noon - 2 pm.

Tickets will be $5 per person or $25 for a family of 4 and up, they will be available to purchase the day of at the check-in table. But if you plan to attend and fill out this form (https://forms.gle/ekmZ8frF7Xbvf4H29), you will receive a discount of $5 per family or $2 per individual (only if a single member comes) for the event. Cash only, please.

We will be grilling hamburgers and hot dogs and ask that you check out the Signup Genius (https://www.signupgenius.com/go/9040D4CA9AF22ABF85-49572981-peakland #/) to help us out with the sides and drinks! Please remember NO GLASS, NO GLASS, AND NO GLASS for any containers.

We are so excited to be officially open for the season starting on Friday (May 24) 4pm - 9pm! To celebrate the pool being open, we have several events coming up so be sure to check your email and the events page on our website for more details.
