Working with what’s on hand. I’ve got two 12kgs (52.8lbs total) and one 16kg (35.2lbs).
With the double 12s:
- 8 Dead Cleans
- 8 Overhead Presses
- 8 Squats
- 8 Hip Hinged Rows
- repeat 3 rounds
With the 16:
- Single Leg Dead Cleans w/Knee Drive
- 3x each side, 3 sets
Major body parts and movement patterns checked off with a good deal of conditioning, and performance from the SLDCs. Not bad for 3 bells and 11 min 48 sec on a snowed in morning.
Now time to shovel!

So proud of my client Brenda! Kettlebells are for all ages, with the proper instruction, to make you stronger, healthier, and live better. Doing a swing tabata with 27lbs, gravity and momentum make it even heavier. And she has 44 lbs and 53 lbs in front of her that she regularly lifts and carries. Go Brenda!!

WILD MOVEMENT
Coming to the Pole Barn of Muscle!
Saturday, October 28th
Join me for a workshop introduction to natural movement. I’ll be sharing what I’ve learned as a level II MovNat Certified Trainer. This class is going to be so much fun!
This is all about the physical skills our species evolved participating in. Climbing, Jumping, Carrying, Balancing, Crawling, Lifting, and much more. This is total body fitness with an emphasis on efficiency and technique. Don’t be scared of any of these movements; come learn how to do them properly and efficiently! Everything is scalable to your current abilities, but I promise you will surprise yourself.
The workshop will be held from 1pm-6pm
Cost is $29/person

As a certified Level II Trainer in the MovNat system, I’ve found this to be incredibly valuable and incorporate much of it into all of our training classes, as well as a valuable part of the rehab done in Berry Chiropractic Center.
Current “Movement Is Medicine” classes offered afternoons at BCC, and evenings at the PBoM. Message for more info.

I was honored to train with renowned survival skills teacher Cody Lundin back in 2015. I've studied survival, from primitive skills to disaster preparedness, for many years. It's long been an interest of mine and the subject finds itself at the intersection of everything that I do; movement and fitness, emergency preparedness, diet and nutrition, being a first responder, etc. The lessons I learned out in the desert with Cody, and in many other classes in survival, informs much of what I do in the classes I instruct as well as the way I live my life.
