Today we are giving a huge SHOUT OUT to Leslie Palensky, our featured artist! She will be sharing her newly released EP, Someone I Like. 🖤

Today we're giving a SHOUT OUT to Andy Butler! Andy will be sharing some of his original music and playing in the band for the EP!

Andy Butler, a singer-songwriter originally from Lincoln, Nebraska, has created a significant body of original music that reflects his diverse influences and personal experiences.

Butler's move to Los Angeles marked a pivotal chapter in his music. Los Angeles, with its rich and diverse music scene, offered Andy the opportunity to expand his horizons and delve deeper into his musical pursuits. He connected with various artists, producers, and musicians, allowing for collaborative efforts that enriched his music.

Butler's style is characterized by a mix of introspective songwriting and rich storytelling. The themes in Andy's songs frequently explore the human condition, relationships, and the passage of time. His lyrics often paint vivid pictures of everyday life, evoking a strong sense of place and emotion.

Butler's discography includes several albums and EPs that showcase his growth as an artist. Each release is a testament to his ability to connect with listeners on a personal level. Just a few days until our first 402 Collective Showcase! We wanted to take a moment and give some respect to André Vander Velde. Andre will be sharing some of his work and playing the band for the EP!

Not only is Andre an amazing musician and songwriter, he is also one of those people who always works to create opportunities for others. You will often find Andre hosting open mic nights, teaching lessons at the 402, or leading creative groups that inspire and connect other aspiring artists of all expressions.

Andre's music is a blend of folk, soul, and pop, characterized by smooth vocals and acoustic guitar prowess. He draws inspiration from artists like Amos Lee, Bill Withers, Dave Matthews, and James Taylor​.

Vander Velde has a rich musical background, starting his journey with vocal harmonies in church and later developing his guitar skills during his teenage years. He self-taught and quickly moved on to songwriting, initially focusing on love songs and eventually crafting deeper, more expressive works​​.

He has released several singles and a self-titled album, receiving critical acclaim and multiple nominations for the Omaha Entertainment Arts Awards, including Best Folk and Best Soul​. In addition to his solo work, he has collaborated with many other musicians and groups in the Omaha area​.
