Don't forget that time is running out on the clothing drive for Tumbleweed! If you don't have time to drop it off at your club meeting, let your club presidents know, arrangements can be made.
If you or someone you know needs a winter jacket, please have them come to RiverStone Health tomorrow or Friday between 8 am and 5 pm to get a free new/like new coat.
We also will have some in the Worden clinic on Friday from 1 to 4 pm.
God bless the USA! We will not forget!
Happy Birthday America, please have a safe and happy 4th!
Thank you!
Last night all seven Exchange clubs of Billings partnered with Meadowlark Brewery to put on a meet and greet fundraiser for the Family Tree Center. It felt like the whole community was there, asking about Exchange and enjoying their Monday evening! Money was raised and there were a lot of potential members in attendance! We even had a special guest in attendance all the way from the east coast. We can’t thank Joe Dudek enough for taking time to help us bring awareness!
Hey Billings!
A friend of mine is participating in this event and let me know about it. So I wanted to share the fun news with you! It is going to be a great weekend for Chili!
Happy New Year. Here is to another year of making Billings and Laurel a better place!!
Have an amazing holiday!!
Congratulations to our December Students of the Month Program!!
They braved the cold temperatures and attended the awards ceremony at our Club meeting today.
Looking forward to seeing their bright futures ahead!!
If you are not doing anything tomorrow morning, come out to the Yellowstone National Cemetery and take part in the Wreaths Across America program at 10 AM. Share this day and time with people all over the country honoring our fallen veterans.
PLEASE SHARE: Veterans Matter received a call for help from a VA Social Worker in Flagstaff, Arizona.
Mark McLaughlin, Hopi Tribe VA Supportive Housing Social Worker reached out today for support.
Mr. McLaughlin is working with a Vietnam Combat Veteran. Our Veteran resides on the Hopi Reservation in Arizona and is an elder member of the Hopi Tribe.
Our Veteran has struggled with Homelessness due to symptoms related to untreated PTSD. We are excited to share that he is participating in mental health services to reduce the impact of his PTSD symptoms.
Our Veteran's family (adult children and grandchildren) live in Flagstaff, Arizona, and visiting with his grandchildren brings him joy and allows him the opportunity to pass on Hopi traditions, family history and language.
Our Veteran is living in permanent housing and building a life of purpose and living out his passion of helping other Veterans. As an elder, he is able to support tribal members who are Veterans and advocate for their care and well-being.
So today, our Veteran is in need of a set of tires. Yes, tires. He has a very limited income, $883 per month, and is unable to afford a set of tires.
Why tires? Our Veteran lives on the reservation which is 60-plus miles from Flagstaff. With the desert weather and his age, our Veteran needs to keep his vehicle in good running condition with good tires.
Our Veteran receives his healthcare from the Flagstaff VA and he visits his family in Flagstaff, traveling up to 128 miles round trip.
Mr. McLaughlin provided a cost for mid-grade tires and we agreed to fundraise the $800 required to purchase and install the tires.
Are you able to step in to assist our Veteran with purchasing tires? Can we do this by next Wednesday (December 21, 2022)?
We would love to know that our Veteran is driving safely to Flagstaff to visit his children and grandchildren for Christmas and New Year.
Congratulations to our November Student of the Month recipients!! Making Montana proud.
