Much of the information that we include in our online resource is at no cost to those listed, simply because we are a resource on various topics, but our efforts are totally supported by advertisements and sponsors. While we are primarily an online resource, we offer a multi-media advertising and marketing approach for our supporters. Our marketing strategies incorporate exposure on the web, print brochures with unique and targeted distribution, tote bag marketing, a presence at trade shows & events, social media, and more. Some of our marketing efforts directly support local causes in the community. TheCommunityGuide.net has evolved from the days of when we were known as "The Welcome Connection", (where we welcomed new residents to the area by phone and also provided them with a tote bag filled with information and promotional gifts from local businesses, plus a bouquet of flowers, all delivered directly to the new residents by our participating florists). What a sweet program! We've come a long way, and are quite proud of our accomplishments, reputation, and efforts to help support the community, local businesses, and non-profits.
