I just voted to denounce the failures of the Biden-Harris Administration in fixing the border crisis. Every town is now a border town, and it's time we return to the successful policies of President Donald J. Trump and secure our nation's border.

Last night, the House unanimously voted to create a task force to investigate in depth the attempted assassination of President Donald J. Trump. We will not rest until there is full accountability to ensure this never happens again.

With the passage of H.R. 8998, House Republicans are fighting back against the Biden-Harris Administration's radical climate agenda and putting America first by unleashing American energy, safeguarding American jobs, and protecting our public lands for sport and recreation.

I recently visited the new Horizon West American Legion Post 419 at the invitation of Commander Alan Adams. It was great to see so many of our local veterans and share with them actions I’ve taken in Congress to improve their VA benefits and hold the VA accountable for providing quality care. My staff and I seek to work diligently to provide veterans’ assistance if they’re running into roadblocks with the Veterans Administration. As a result, my office has successfully gotten more than $15 million returned to veteran constituents from the VA and other agencies in compensation, pension, and other retroactive payments. If you or a veteran you know needs assistance with getting answers or benefits from the VA, please contact my office.

It was great to be with Hal last week celebrating his 100th birthday! Pastor George Thomas of Celebration Baptist Church in Leesburg, and his congregation hosted a celebration for World War II, U.S. Army Sgt. Hal Urban’s 100th birthday. It was an honor to be with Sgt Urban’s friends and family and honor his long life and the impact he has made on those that know and love him. His commitment and dedication are admirable! I was pleased to publicly commend his perseverance and the long years of selfless service to our country and community by presenting a letter from myself and President Trump. Sgt. Urban, countless people have been influenced by your life, and I am honored to recognize the faithfulness that you have exemplified over the last century. Today, President Biden has finally realized what millions of Americans have known for years - the Biden-Harris Administration is incapable of governing the country. Make no mistake, this administration has left Americans less safe, less prosperous and abandoned around the world.

Judge Cannon saw through the Department of Justice's partisan attacks and never-ending witch-hunt against President Donald J. Trump! Her dismissal is a step in the right direction to holding far-left officials accountable for their abuse of powers and restoring the rule of law.

Last Week, I met with the new President of University of Florida (UF) Health, Dr. Stephen Motew. During our conversation, Dr. Motew shared how UF Health is incorporating innovation and artificial intelligence to grow our health workforce. I was excited to share that I secured funding for UF Health’s Central Florida Simulation Lab, located at Leesburg Regional Medical Center in the Fiscal Year 2025 Commerce, Justice, Science, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act. If this bill becomes law the funding will be used to develop a new Simulation (SIM) lab, allowing nursing students to gain hands-on clinical experience to improve skill performance. Investing in our students entering our healthcare sector is a priority of mine, and I look forward to continuing this relationship with UF Health to ensure Americans’ access to the health care they deserve!

Water Conserv II, located in Orange County is the largest reclaimed water project in the world. I visited to see how they manage 31 million gallons of water a day. Water Conserv II started 38 years ago and is the first rapid infiltration basin water reuse project in Florida permitted by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP). The project irrigates crops produced for human consumption with reclaimed water, all while meeting FDEP’s public access reuse standards. I enjoyed spending time with the Conserv II team and learning about their innovative project which exemplifies the best of water conservation practices in the state of Florida and American ingenuity.

I just voted to pass the SAVE Act, which I cosponsored, to protect the integrity of our elections by ensuring illegal immigrants cannot vote in our elections.

It's simple, only American citizens should vote in American elections.

SAVE Act Heads To House Floor To Stop Noncitizen Vote 10/07/2024

Only American citizens should be able to vote in our elections! Later today, we will vote to pass this bill that I cosponsored. President Biden has threatened to veto is and Democrat House Leaders are calling for all their members to vote no. Every Democrat that opposes this should have to explain why!

SAVE Act Heads To House Floor To Stop Noncitizen Vote Dems will be forced to explain why they oppose the SAVE Act, which requires documentary proof of citizenship to vote in federal elections.

It was great to be back in the district last week to celebrate Independence Day! I was honored to attend Wildwood’s Happy Birthday America at the Wildwood Community Center and Millenium Park. As we celebrate with family and loved ones, let us remember the sacrifices of those who fought to defend the freedoms we hold dear. On Independence Day, and every day, may we remember the blessings of freedom and never take our liberty for granted nor grow complacent in our responsibility to uphold the promise of America and its ideals.

I just voted to pass legislation that fights back against President Biden and Far Left Democrats’ radical climate agenda. Americans, not bureaucrats in Washington, should have the choice to purchase the appliances that best suit their needs.

It was great to see so many friends last Saturday at the 127th Annual Linden Cemetery Association’s Cake Auction and BBQ picnic. Held every year since 1897, the town of Linden has brought families and neighbors together for food and fellowship to support the cemetery where loved ones rest. We shared many stories over home cooked food, honored longtime residents of Linden, and auctioned off cakes and desserts. Thank you to the Linden Cemetery Association Members, Auctioneer; Daylon Raybon, and volunteers for providing the South Sumter County with the most memorable social event of the summer!
